Deze tour brengt enkele van de meest diverse en indrukwekkende landschappen van Azerbeidzjan samen in één dag. Van de kleurrijke Candy Cane Mountains tot diepe canyons en brede berguitkijkpunten, elke stop biedt een ongelooflijk landschap en geweldige fotomogelijkheden. U reist door de prachtige regio Quba, langs bossen, rivieren en traditionele dorpen langs de route. Het hoogtepunt van de reis is Khinaliq, een van de hoogste en oudste bergdorpen in de Kaukasus, waar oude tradities nog steeds worden bewaard. Onderweg ervaar je ook het lokale leven, de natuur en cultuur in een zeer authentieke omgeving. Het is een ideale keuze voor reizigers die willen verkennen buiten Bakoe en zie de ware berg schoonheid van het land.

De tour begint rond 8.00 uur. Een dag voor de tour ontvangt u de exacte locatie en aanvangstijd.
Je eerste stop is de beroemde Candy Cane Mountains (Kleurrijke Heuvels). Dit unieke natuurlandschap staat bekend om zijn opvallende rood-wit gestreepte patronen, waardoor het een perfecte plek is voor foto's. Je hebt ook de tijd om te genieten van het prachtige panoramische uitzicht en de rustige omgeving.
Onderweg zie je ook de Vijfvingerberg (Beshbarmaq Mountain). Deze iconische bezienswaardigheid kan vanaf de weg worden bekeken als we passeren, maar er zal geen stop zijn op deze locatie.
Vervolgens rijden we door de stad Quba, een van de meest pittoreske regio’s van Azerbeidzjan. Quba staat bekend om zijn rijke geschiedenis, appelboomgaarden en het traditionele tapijtweven. Het is ook de thuisbasis van de beroemde Rode Nederzetting, een van de oudste en grootste Joodse gemeenschappen ter wereld buiten Israël en de Verenigde Staten.
Vervolgens stoppen we in Qechresh Forest. Dit gebied staat bekend om zijn ontspannen sfeer, omgeven door weelderig groen en frisse berglucht. Hier vindt u kleine restaurants, cafés, souvenirwinkels en traditionele honinghuizen waar u lokale producten kunt proeven. Na deze stop beginnen we onze reis de bergen in, richting Khinaliq.
De volgende stop is bij de Qudyalchay Canyon. We stoppen tussen de bergen, waar u kunt genieten van een prachtig natuurlandschap en prachtige foto's kunt maken van de vallei en rivier beneden.
Vervolgens stoppen we bij een panoramisch uitzichtpunt. Vanaf hier kunt u genieten van een adembenemend panoramisch uitzicht op de Grote Kaukasus, met eindeloze bergketens die zich uitstrekken tot aan de horizon.
Onze eindbestemming is Khinaliq, een van de oudste en hoogste bergdorpen van de Kaukasus. Het is beroemd om zijn unieke taal, oude geschiedenis en traditionele stenen huizen gebouwd op steile berghellingen. Hier heeft u ook de mogelijkheid om te genieten van een lunch in een lokaal familiehuis-museum, het ervaren van authentieke zelfgemaakte gerechten en traditionele gastvrijheid in een werkelijk unieke omgeving.
Houd er rekening mee dat de totale rijtijd voor deze route ongeveer 8 uur is in beide richtingen. We reizen met verschillende stops onderweg, en de volledige tourduur is ongeveer 11–12 uur in totaal. Om ongeveer 20.00 uur keert u terug naar Bakoe.

Houd er rekening mee dat als uw hotel of accommodatie zich in de oude stad (Icherisheher) of op Nizami Street (Targovaya) bevindt, we u vriendelijk vragen om naar het dichtstbijzijnde aangewezen opstappunt te lopen, aangezien minibussen deze gebieden niet mogen betreden. Houd er rekening mee dat de groepsrondleiding begint om 08:00 uur. Op weekdagen halen we gasten op tussen 07:00 en 08:00 uur om zwaar verkeer op de wegen te voorkomen. De exacte starttijd van de tour wordt een dag voor de tour door onze Gids doorgegeven.

Leyla was a great tour guide, maybe the best in Azerbaijan. Lots of driving involved, but worth the trek.
The nature in the mountains was beautiful and the old village was interesting. The bus was old and uncomfortable, AC was hardly working. Leyla was a very nice guide, friendly and supportive, sharing a lot of information.

Regarding the air conditioning, it's important to note that the route climbs to more than 2,200 meters above sea level through steep mountain roads. During such ascents, the performance of any vehicle's air conditioning system is naturally reduced due to the increased engine load. This is a normal characteristic of mountain driving and not a technical issue. As for the vehicle, the tour is operated with a 2016 Toyota Hiace, which is a reliable minibus specifically chosen for mountain roads and remote destinations such as Khinalig. While comfort preferences may vary from person to person, describing the vehicle as "old" does not accurately reflect its condition or suitability for this route. We are pleased that you enjoyed the landscapes, the village, and the guidance provided during the tour.
A wonderful experience! Leyla was the best guide we could’ve asked for: energetic, caring, informative. You can tell she loves what she does. The driver was competent and fast. For me, the highlight of the trip was the homemade meal in the village. Even though it was cold, I’m happy I got to see some of Azerbaijan countryside.

This trip takes you to the popular sights around the Absheron peninsula, including the first oil well, a mosque, the mud pots, the Gobustan petroglyphs, the burning mountain, and the fire temple. The highlight is definitely the off-road trip in a Lada to the mud pots; even though my trip was in the rain, the guide wrapped our shoes in plastic bags and we slid up the mountain to see the bubbling mounds. My guide, Leyla, was friendly and lively and kept the tour moving along. Overall, a fun trip and great way to start my time in Azerbaijan.
