Het Baku Museum of Miniature Books is het enige museum van miniatuurboeken ter wereld, gevestigd in het oude gedeelte van Baku, genaamd Inner City.[1] Het museum is op 2 april 2002 van start gegaan. In 2015 ontving het Museum of Miniature Books het certificaat van het Guinness Book of Records als het grootste privémuseum voor miniatuurboeken.[2]
Dit beroemde paleis, dat dateert uit de jaren 1400, bestaat uit vijf afzonderlijke delen. Het complex is een ideale plek voor reizigers die meer willen weten over de cultuur, architectuur en tradities van het gebied. De bouw van het hoofdgebouw van het paleis begon in 1411. Bezoekers kunnen via het portaal naar binnen en hun weg vinden naar de Divankhana, een stenen paviljoen op de binnenplaats. Het torenhoge mausoleum doet dienst als begraafplaats en is ontworpen door de architect Memar Ali. Reizigers kunnen ook hun weg vinden naar de Paleismoskee, die deel uitmaakt van het paleis dat later in de jaren 1430 werd gebouwd, evenals het badhuis, dat compleet is met 26 unieke kamers.
De Maagdentoren, die op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat, bevindt zich in de ommuurde stad Bakoe en staat bij de lokale bevolking bekend als Giz Galasi. Gebouwd in de 12e eeuw, is dit iconische gebouw, dat oprijst in de verder lege skyline, een van de meest karakteristieke gebouwen van de stad. Het Baku Ferris Wheel (Baku Eye) heeft een toplocatie aan een boulevard met uitzicht op de Kaspische Zee en biedt een panoramisch uitzicht over de stad en de kustomgeving. Het wiel werd oorspronkelijk gebouwd voor het Eurovisie Songfestival, dat in 2012 door Azerbeidzjan werd georganiseerd, en is sindsdien een van de meest zichtbare attracties van de stad geworden
"Klein Venetië" in Baku Boulevard is een charmant klein stadje met eilanden verbonden door stenen bruggen en gondels die door schone waterkanalen glijden. Gebouwd in 1960 en uitgebreid tot 10.000 m², biedt het twee restaurants die westerse en oosterse gerechten serveren. We had the pleasure of having Elshad Jalalov as our guide for both the day tour and the night tour in Baku, and honestly, the experience exceeded all expectations. He created a relaxed atmosphere, adapted to our interests, and made sure we enjoyed every moment. Beyond the tours themselves, he also gave us many valuable recommendations for the rest of our trip — places to visit, restaurants, local foods to try, viewpoints, and practical tips that made our stay in Azerbaijan much easier and more enjoyable. Those recommendations turned out to be excellent. If you are visiting Baku or Azerbaijan and want a guide who is professional, trustworthy, experienced, and truly cares about giving people the best possible experience, then Elshad Jalalov is absolutely the right choice. We would highly recommend booking tours with him — it was one of the highlights of our trip.
