Eerst zullen we genieten van het adembenemende panoramische uitzicht over Kutaisi vanuit Bagrati. Vervolgens leren we over de historische betekenis van het Gelati-klooster, dat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat. Ten slotte ontdekken we de serene schoonheid van Motsameta, een oud klooster in het bos. In slechts drie uur ervaar je het rijke culturele erfgoed van Kutaisi. Mis deze onvergetelijke reis niet!

Eerst rijden we naar de Bagrati-kathedraal die uitkijkt over de stad. Het werd gebouwd in de 11e eeuw als een symbool van verenigd Georgië.
Klooster van de 12e eeuw. Er zijn 3 grote kerken, een academie, het graf van David de bouwer, de klokkentoren en huizen van monniken in het complex. Het werd gebouwd door de grootste Georgische koning David The Builder.
Klooster dat gerelateerd is aan het verhaal van martelende broer-edelen David en Constantijn Mkheidze. Het is gebouwd op de klif en is aan 3 kanten omgeven door de rivier. De natuur en kleuren rond het klooster zijn verbluffend.

Historically exciting and recommended: We visited four beautiful churches, moving from one romantic hill to the next, partly in enchanted locations. You are driven around, the two guides were very motivated, and I had a lot of fun.
This was a great short guided tour taking in the sights and the history of the Monasteries. Lasha provided in depth information around history and religion, answering all of my questions, it was well organised, the vehicle was comfortable.
Giorgi R did an amazing job narrating the stories that make these sites so special. He was also very knowledgeable upon kutaisi and gave stellar recommendations.
Very good tour with guide Saba – beautiful monasteries with interesting histories. Motsameta was the highlight. These locations are not far from Kutaisi, so it's a short but very interesting tour. Recommend!

Interesting half-day tour. Very nice places to visit and great guides. The guides were very good, helpful, friendly and explained well the history of the country and the sites of interest visited.
I really enjoyed this group tour! The guide was personable and informative, and he was even willing to stay over the allotted time to answer our questions/allow us to take pictures. I did wish we were able to see more of the Gelati Monastery (there’s a lot of renovation scaffolding no right now), but, overall, I would recommend this tour.
