CANYONS & GROTTEN Tour vanuit Kutaisi - Okatse, Martvili & Prometheus

Vanaf 10:00 uur vanuit ons kantoor in Kutaisi is onze eerste bestemming Okatse Canyon, de diepste canyon van Georgië. Het beschikt over hangende bruggen en skywalks toegankelijk via een 6 km lange trektocht of een off-road taxirit, met een prachtig uitzicht op de canyon. Vervolgens gaan we verder naar Martvili Canyon, waar we beginnen aan een boottocht door de schilderachtige landschappen, navigeren door de wateren en de betoverende watervallen ontdekken. Voor degenen die op zoek zijn naar een extra sensatie, een zip-lijn is beschikbaar bij de canyon. Daarna nemen we een pauze voor de lunch in een lokaal restaurant, genietend van heerlijke Georgische gerechten en onze energie voor de middag aanvullend. Tot slot verkennen we de Prometheusgrot, 1,4 km lang en 80 meter onder de oppervlakte. Dit ondergrondse wonder toont betoverende formaties en omvat de romantische Hall of Love. Bezoekers kunnen genieten van ondergrondse en openlucht vaarervaringen voordat we om 19:30 uur terugkeren naar Kutaisi, ter afsluiting van een dag vol onvergetelijke natuurwonderen.

Onze eerste bestemming is de majestueuze Okatse Canyon, de diepste kloof van Georgië. Het beschikt over hangende bruggen en skywalks die een ongeëvenaard uitzicht op de kloof beneden bieden.
Bij de Martvili-kloof maken we een boottocht door de kloof en verkennen we de diepte langs watervallen / Kinderen korter dan 100 cm zijn niet toegestaan in de Martvili-kloof
De Prometheus-grot is 1,4 km lang en bevindt zich 80 meter onder het oppervlak. In de grot is een liefdeszaal waar zelfs mensen trouwen. Hier kunt u heerlijk ondergronds varen. Het is cool, niet? :)

We had a great time. The driver and Shukia, the guide, were awesome. Shukia was very professional and friendly. We highly recommend her as a guide. (Marcus and Andrea from Brazil)
I had the best experience with Budget Georgia. Driver was careful and professional. Guide was friendly, considerate, and created a positive climate. Administratively, they are well organised (they replaced the original guide, who was ill on the day of the tour and we left with a 15-minute delay). I joined solo travelers and couples from around the world in a van.
You can beter book it direct by budget tours. When we booked it the site said everything was included except the zip line, when we paid that disappeared and you have to pay for every thing: lunch, cave, canyons. I really felt betrayed. The tour guide was excellent, but just book it directly or do it by yourself
The whole trip is ourageously overpiced. The guide was all around, not that well organised. There was a lot of waiting, but most of all, overpriced.
Amazing tour! Martvili Canyon, Okatse Canyon, and Prometheus Cave were all stunning and well worth visiting. Everything was well organized, and the views were unforgettable. A special thanks to our guide, (Shukia), for being friendly, knowledgeable, and making the trip enjoyable. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience on this tour, but what truly made it unforgettable was our guide, Lasha. He was incredibly knowledgeable and answered every question we had about Georgia with so much depth and passion. Every answer felt like a story of its own — full of history, context, and personal insight. He didn’t just explain the places we visited; he helped us understand and appreciate Georgia on a much deeper level. His English was excellent, and he had a great way of making everything clear, interesting, and engaging. What we appreciated most was that he even took us to a few places outside of the original plan because we had extra time, showed interest, and he genuinely loved sharing more about his home country. Lasha is exactly the kind of guide who turns a good tour into a truly memorable experience. We left with a much greater appreciation for Georgia, and we are very grateful for the time, knowledge, and energy he shared with us. Highly recommended.
It was a great day out of Kutaisi. Even though it rained and we got soaking wet I still had loads of fun.
