Zodra uw cruiseschip aankomt in de haven van Costa Maya, reist u door de geschiedenis van de Maya's tot de piraten, op slechts een uur rijden van de cruisehaven van Costa Maya. Begin je avontuur op een van de minst onderzochte archeologische vindplaatsen in de Maya-zone die dateert uit 200 voor Christus. en laat je verrassen door de ongelooflijke monumenten, flora en fauna die de jungle je te bieden heeft. Na een bezoek aan de jungle en de Maya-stad Chacchoben, gaan we naar de Bacalar-lagune, een beroemd toevluchtsoord voor piraten, waar je kunt ontspannen, zwemmen of genieten van een kajaktocht in het verfrissende water van de zevenkleurenlagune. At first we weren’t sure about booking outside Celebrity Xcel, but this turned out to be the highlight of our stop in Costa Maya. Luis was friendly and really knew the Mayan ruins. Small group, no rushing, no waiting around. Bacalar was gorgeous and relaxing. Would 100% do it again.
Honestly, we were a little nervous about booking outside the cruise, but after meeting Mike right outside the Costa Maya port, we knew we made the right choice. Sailing on Allure of the Seas, the cruise option was more expensive and way bigger. Walking through the Chacchoben Mayan City felt relaxed and personal, and later floating in the Bacalar Lagoon was unreal. We were back with plenty of time before all-aboard — no stress at all.
Lagoon was for us alone, with good authentic food, Joshy, the guide, fulfilled all the wishes of the holidaymakers. Driver with good new minibus

Horrible experience as we booked Costa Maya ruins and lagoon combo. Upon arrival I was told there was a mistake made and we will not be able to compete both as their vans are full.

Our tour Guide was Great! We did not catch his name, but he is short, chubby with black groomed hair and is extremely Proud of his Mayan Descendent Heritage! He is very knowledgeable about the Mayan History and the Temples at the Mayan ruins site. And he took good care of us. It was about a 40 -45 mile enjoyable trip. Great Beach at the 7 shades of blue lagoon and street Tacos and Pina Coladas included.

Me and my husband had an amazing time and enjoyed every second. The water was beautiful and our driver was great his name was Tacho. Our tour guide was very sweet and she told us everything she knew about the mayan ruins I would totally recommend this excursion with anyone you are with.
