Hiking Lion’s Head in the morning meant we had the summit almost to ourselves. Kayaking along the Atlantic coast was calm, scenic, and surprisingly peaceful. The Winelands day was more relaxed but still active with a short trail walk between two estates. The guides were safety-conscious and checked in with everyone regularly, which made me feel comfortable even though I’m not super fit.
