Dit zijn niet alleen "oude sieraden". De Heilige Kroon van Hongarije heeft een dramatischer geschiedenis dan een Netflix-serie – het is gestolen, begraven, verloren en teruggebracht door de Amerikaanse overheid. U staat in de massieve, 27 meter hoge Koepelzaal, bewaakt door stoïcijnse bewakers met getrokken sabels, om de kroon en het gekantelde kruis van dichtbij te zien. Het is het symbolische hart van de natie. Je beklimt de Grand Stairway, een ruimte die zo weelderig is dat de meeste Europese paleizen eruit zien als een doe-het-zelf renovatie. Stel je voor dat je langs massieve granieten zuilen loopt – waarvan er slechts 12 in de hele wereld bestaan – onder plafonds die zijn beschilderd door Károly Lotz. Elke centimeter van de muren is bedekt met bladgoud en ingewikkelde fresco's die het verhaal vertellen van een duizend jaar oud koninkrijk. Als je tussen 6 en 24 jaar bent en een geldige Studentenkaart hebt, kun je het type Jongerenticket kiezen

The Parliament building is absolutely stunning. I know why so many think this is a must see. A little confusing at the meeting point as we were told to be there 30 minutes ahead of time but no one from Vaitor showed up until 15 minutes later. Also would be nice if the Viator reps discussed the stairs and elevator option. By the time the tour guide informed us it was really too late.

An amazing building, maybe better viewed via a YouTube clip as was an expensive 45mins for non EU visitor. It was a pre-recorded audio tour that works well but hence no room for questions or discussion.

Definitely worth a visit, highly recommend. But try booking direct via the official Hungarian website, might have to do this in advance during busy periods, but same tour half the price of Trip advisor/Get your Guide, unfortunately I left it a week before and they were sold out.

I got to parliament, the tour was cancelled, but in the app it appeared as an event “confirmed”. Now there is no link to refund my money

A beautiful building inside and out. A bit chaotic getting our reserved tickets and very pricey compared to the many other tours we took.

Everything was great but checkin was a little difficult as we arrived a little early and rep had not yet arrived so not sure if we were in the wrong place. Not a big issue.

The building is magnificent and the visit is interesting. Audio guides that are available in all languages. A little bit expensive though for what it is....

Very fuzzy with the times when booking. Our time was at 12,00 with the call to be there 30 min before. There was no one!!! 11:45 , a guy and a girl showed up , and held up signs with their names . No sign with Tripadviser. Our time for the visit was not at 12,00. It was 12.15 Very misleading... Other Parliament was very powerful
