It was crowd, and cannot see well with half of the seats. If you squeeze to the front, you may be able to catch some good photos It worth to try other boats that offer drinks or food, which may have a better quality
I had the best experience ever when it comes to a guided tour. The tour guide, Eric, has an outstanding historic knowledge and it was amazing to find out so many information about the local history and not only. The atmosphere was calm, few people which made the experience even better so there were no distractions during the tour. I will definitely recommend the tour to any of my acquaintances visiting Budapest and especially to book a tour with Eric.
A very crowded cruise. We paid for 5 tickets but only managed to get 4 seats. Was expecting to see the parliament building lit up at night but it didn't happen.
We arrived in Budapest the same day they turned off the lights, and we couldn't cancel the cruise because we were unaware of the situation. Since it was at ten at night, we proposed to them at least moving the cruise up an hour so we could see something. They wanted to charge us 50% more for it. The only point was to see Budapest at night, so we didn't see anything, everything was dark...the promoters should have canceled the activity and refunded the money. A total scam
Really pretty at night! Get there at least 30 mins early if you want a better view (the line gets long during summer or peak travel).
Truly awful, the boat was like a floating pontoon with a shed full of flies at the end selling drinks. The floating pontoon was full of local youths misbehaving. There was no sightseeing and there was no audio guide. We drove up the river for 20 minutes and then drove back down. When the ‘captain’ got back within 40 minutes, he realised and we just drifted into the river for a bit before returning to the dock. We were on the ‘boat’ for an hour, but most of that was queuing to get off. There are lovely boats on the Danube, this is not one of them.
Although I booked the 10pm evening cruise on a day when the lighting of the buildings was unfortunately off due to the energy saving measures in Budapest, I enjoyed this boat trip immensely. That was mainly because of our guide Erik. He is American, but his family is originally from Hungary. He speaks excellent English and was able to tell the history of Hungary in a very fascinating way. Not only about the famous sights we sailed past, but also about the general history of the country. He connected all the stories in a logical and interesting way, making the whole trip one beautiful whole. Of course, I would have loved to see the beautifully lit buildings, but even without those lights, I found this cruise absolutely worthwhile. Thanks to Erik, I learned a lot and gained much more appreciation for the city and its history. Definitely recommended!

There was no air conditioning on the boat, even though that is the first thing promised in the tour.
DO NOT RECOMMEND this boat trip operator at all. It’s a single deck boat, with jammed in seating forcing passengers to sit a foot away from each other with no room to stand up. At least 2/5 of the space that isn’t seating is either chained off or taken up by the beverage service area. You can literally see the faces of the passengers who are seated that they are not engaged in the ride at all. What a waste of money. Pick a better boat operator.
