Een kans om het prachtige Yorkshire Dales National Park te ontdekken en het landschap te zien dat James Herriot inspireerde. Je bezoekt de locaties die gebruikt worden in de huidige serie van All Creatures Great and Small zoals het Village of Grassington, dat momenteel gebruikt wordt als Darrowby in de serie. Je rijdt door dorpjes en over passen en bewondert het uitzicht en dat in een prachtig landschap. Je stopt bij Bolton Castle waar Herriot zijn vrouw ten huwelijk vroeg en een favoriete locatie van de auteur was.

Verken het charmante dorpje Grassington, gevuld met geplaveide straatjes, lokale winkels en pubs. Het dorp wordt gebruikt als Darrowby in de opnames van All Creatures Great & Small.
Bezoek de beroemde Wensleydale Creamery in het marktstadje Hawes. Proef hun bekroonde kaas en een persoonlijke favoriet van tv-personage Wallace & Gromit.
Ontdek de prachtige watervallen van Aysgarth. Dit maakt een indrukwekkende stop op uw tour en zorgt voor een perfect beeld.
Bezoek het middeleeuwse Bolton Castle, ooit een gevangenis voor Mary Queen of Scots, dit prachtige kasteel heeft een prachtig uitzicht over Wensleydale. Breng de dag rijdend door het Nationaal Park door en stop op verschillende punten om het uitzicht te bewonderen en veel foto's te maken.

Had a great trip guided by Ben. It was fun to see some filming locations and enjoy the drive through the beautiful countryside of the dales. Highlight was the castle visit at the end, relaxing way to end the day! This tour was a great way to se the countryside alongside some filming spots from All Creatures.
This was one of our favorite tours of our trip. We loved our guide who was knowledgeable and funny, and had a gentle spirit. It was a beautiful day driving through the hills and dales through and to communities we have become familiar with through the James Herriot series. I recommend this one very highly!

Our driver/tour guide was Barry (along with Billy, the goat). We had SUCH a great experience. Barry seems to actually know everything it is possible to know about Yorkshire. He gave constant, interesting commentary the whole trip so we were never bored, and he was able to answer every question we had. (Perhaps this sounds like it could be annoying, someone talking for eight hours? It really was just pleasant and fascinating. Barry has a good delivery that's gentle on the ear.) And of course, the Dales were gorgeous. I had thought that we would be seeing sights from the books - so the actual places James Alf White stayed and went and did things in, but it was more a tour of filming locations for the two television series. Honestly we didn't care - it was lovely. Recommend hands down.

Well-organized trip through a magnificent landscape. However, I could only partially follow the driver's explanations and descriptions. A sheet of explanations in German (and of course other languages) would be helpful. I also did not understand why passengers received a senior discount. I was not offered it.

Had a wonderful tour of the Dales/All Creatures Great & Small filming locations with Bob. He was such a great guide, lots of stories and anecdotes. I’m sure he’s told them one hundred times but you’d never know, it all sounded so natural and enthusiastic. Great tour with lots of interesting stops and information. The bus was so comfortable especially in the heatwave. Would highly recommend this to anyone and honestly the ACGAS show isn’t the focus, which was fine with us as though we are fans of it, we mainly took the tour for the Dales. It was fun to see locations we recognize from the show though! There are other stops as well. A highlight of our trip, we all enjoyed it very much! Thanks so much Bob for a great day.

Our day trip into the Dales was really good - Ben A. was an excellent, knowledgeable, warm, caring and friendly guide and dealt admirably with a massive thunderstorm on our way back to York, navigating flooded roads and making us all feel safe. The landscape was beautiful and the historic villages and castles were a joy to visit. Only one complaint - the minibus was advertised as air conditioned but its system was clearly not up to the task of dealing with the heatwave happening right now...it was extremely uncomfortable on the bus for most of the day because of that. Other than that, we would highly recommend this tour and a big thank you to Ben for being so great at what must be at times a very challenging job.
