Stap aan wal bij een afgelegen Alaskan lodge en wandel door het hart van het Tongass National Forest, 's werelds grootste gematigde regenwoud, langs een comfortabele verhoogde promenade omringd door torenhoge bomen, weelderig mos en adembenemende natuurlijke schoonheid. Maak je avontuur compleet met een traditioneel Alaska zeevruchtenfeest met Dungeness-krab, garnalen, mosselen en mosselen geserveerd in een klassieke zeevruchtenkook met maïs, aardappelen, pareluitjes en geroosterde knoflook. Bij Clover Pass ontmoet je je kapitein en eerste stuurman voordat je aan boord stapt van een afgesloten jetboot, de Miss Cindy. Bereid je voor op een spannend wateravontuur terwijl je kapitein door baaien en inhammen navigeert, terwijl je verteller je inzichten geeft over het land, de lucht en de zee. Aan boord van de boot krijgt u de gelegenheid om de overvloedige flora en fauna van Zuidoost-Alaska te zien, zoals adelaars, bruinvissen en zeehonden. Van mei tot en met september worden langs de tourroute vaak walvissen waargenomen. Het exclusieve verhoogde promenadepad van Silverking stelt je in staat om het normaal gesproken moeilijk toegankelijke regenwoud in te lopen. Ontdek zijn geheimen zoals Old Man's Beard en boomkwekerijen. Zorg ervoor dat u aan het einde van het pad uw camera gereed heeft voor de grootste bekende rode ceder in het Tongass National Forest. We do this every year. The guides are always wonderful but this time was exceptional. It was a whole lot of fun. The guide had some extra tidbits to share besides the usual stuff. It made it more informative and entertaining.

Beautiful excursion - a perfect way to spend our first stop in Alaska. Our guide Lena was knowledgeable and entertaining and fun. Our boat Captain Peter (?) have us a great ride to Silver King Lodge. The stroll thru the forest and seafood feast at the lodge were incredible. Highly recommend!

We had an enjoyable tour with Jane and Capt. Nate. Watching the eagles dive for fish was a highlight, as was the massive old tree at the end of the scenic walk through the forest. We also had the pleasure of watching sea lions just beyond the end of the dock. The seafood boil was delicious. Thank you to Jane and Capt. Nate for the imparted wisdom and good laughs!

Wonderful boat ride and then a beautiful short hike in the national rainforest. Afterward lunch was delicious and more then enough food. James was out tour guide and he was excellent.
