Als je een woestijnliefhebber bent en je bezoekt Marrakech voor een korte tijd, maar je ziet dat het niet praktisch is om naar de Sahara te reizen omdat het minimaal 3 dagen en bijna 10 uur rijden in één richting nodig heeft. Maak je geen zorgen. Als het dus niet jouw ding is om deze grote reis te maken, zijn er andere woestijntochten vanuit Marrakech. Niet veel mensen kennen Agafay Desert, op slechts 30 minuten van je hotel / Riad in Marrakech. Om eerlijk te zijn, je zult de gouden glooiende zandduinen hier niet vinden (het is een steenwoestijn), maar je kunt absoluut de afgelegen woestijnervaring hebben, compleet met een prachtig uitzicht op het Hoge Atlasgebergte. Bovendien is het gesloten genoeg om gemakkelijk een dagtrip vanuit Marrakech te maken.

Leaving one star because it’s not possible to leave negative stars. They put our group in a car with missing registration and we were pulled over by the police for close to 45 minutes. Our driver failed to check us in and we did not get to ATV. The entire experience took about 6 hours, of which 7 minutes were spent riding camels and 15 minutes were spent eating mediocre food in a wind storm with interment power outages. Would not recommend this to anyone.
We’re sorry to read that this day didn’t go as planned. The weather conditions were very difficult, with strong winds that unfortunately affected all outdoor setups, including the camp and dinner area. While this is outside our control, we understand it made the experience less comfortable. Regarding the police stop, road checks are routine authority procedures in Morocco, especially during busy periods. These controls are mandatory and not related to the vehicle service itself, but we regret the time it took. As for the ATV activity, delays earlier in the schedule and traffic that day affected timing, which led to the issue with the check-in. This was not intentional, and we understand the frustration. We always aim to provide smooth and enjoyable experiences, and we take your feedback seriously as it helps us improve coordination in situations like this.
Omar accompanied us from Marrakech to the Agafay desert, for a day, professional and super kind. Super recommended!

Beautiful dromedary quad day in the desert with superb views of the Atlas Mountains very good evening meal as well as a very nice show and a great and warm atmosphere I really recommend
