Tijdens deze 2 uur durende canyoningtrip in Ribeira das Cales, begint u bij Chão da Lagoa in het Ecologische park van Funchal op een hoogte van ongeveer 4.921 ft (1.500 meter). Langs de route wordt er 2 keer abgeseild. Om de hindernissen van de natuur te overwinnen, moet u abseilen, zwemmen en springen om vooruit te komen. Deze ervaring is het beste voor alle mensen die deze geweldige sport voor de eerste keer willen proberen.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Ophalen is inbegrepen voor gasten die in de aangewezen hotels verblijven. We raden u aan om 10 minuten voor uw geplande ophaaltijd klaar te staan bij de receptie van het hotel. Onze gidsen wachten ongeveer 5 minuten op elke gast. Kijk uit naar onze busjes, die wit (kleiner) of grijs (groter) kunnen zijn. We streven ernaar om uw avontuur soepel en tijdig te laten beginnen, hoewel er externe vertragingen kunnen optreden. Als dat gebeurt, wordt u op de dag zelf op de hoogte gebracht. Een dag voor de activiteit kunnen we de ophaaltijd aanpassen voor uw gemak.

- Gezondheid en fitness: Deze activiteit omvat het afdalen van watervallen, zwemmen, abseilen, wandelen, abseilen en springen in meren en watervallen. Een klein niveau van fitheid is vereist. Niet geschikt voor personen met ernstige gezondheidsproblemen of beperkte mobiliteit.
- Minimum leeftijd is 8 jaar (of 125 cm met 25 kg en schoenmaat 35 EU), onder begeleiding van een volwassene.
- Het maximale gewicht is 115 kg. Deelnemers die dicht bij deze limiet wegen, moeten groter zijn dan 185 cm.
- Meertalige gids: Uw tour kan worden geleid door een gids die vloeiend meerdere talen spreekt. Hoewel we ons best doen om een gids te bieden die uw voorkeurstaal spreekt, is dit niet altijd gegarandeerd. In dergelijke gevallen wordt de tour in het Engels uitgevoerd.
- Beginner vriendelijk: Onze Level 1 canyoning activiteit is perfect voor beginners! Geen ervaring nodig; onze professionele gidsen zorgen voor uw veiligheid.
- Zwemmen: Je hoeft niet te weten hoe je moet zwemmen, maar moet je comfortabel voelen in en rond het water.
- Canyoning laarzen: Verbeter je ervaring met optionele Adidas Outdoor canyoninglaarzen, te huur aan 5€ per persoon, contant te betalen aan het einde van de activiteit
- Regen of glans: Deze tour vindt plaats ongeacht de weersomstandigheden (als het mogelijk is om het veilig te doen)

Me and my teenage son did the Ribeira das Cales trip (canyoning level 1) with Madeira Adventure Kingdom. It was our first canyoning experience ever, and it was great fun! The guides were very professional, explained everything and made us feel safe and comfortable during the whole trip. It was thrilling and exciting but not too extreme, and didn’t require particular skills or abilities. Highly recommend this experience to anyone!

In the preparation they asked our waist and hip sizes, so the suits were good (dont have to try more suits). Its a pity we had to pay 5,- extra for the shoes. Make an all inclusive price. But that was only one minus. The rest was great. Good support and nice trip. They were serious.

Very well organized and fun trip! Both the guides were great. They gave us clear instructions and made the group feel safe. The canyoning experience was difficult but amazing! The views were beautiful. Definitely recommend this to any travellers visiting the Island.

We had such a lovely time canyoning with Madeira Adventures. The day was well explained and structured. Safety was covered in the briefing and individually before any rappel. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful, so green and lots of waterfalls. Highlight was definitely abseiling a little, before ziplining down to a pool. Thankyou so much for a wonderful trip. Today, on my last day on the island, I did Canyoning Level 1. It's a shame that I'm leaving, because I'd like to do the other levels straight away. Transport was good, the guides were cool, the experience was simply amazing! I can only recommend it to anyone who enjoys exercise, climbing, and smaller challenges. The beginner level is easy for anyone with a normal physical condition - and when else can you walk along a river through such breathtaking nature?! By the way, it's definitely worth renting the shoes from the provider, it costs €5, but you'll be grateful if you have them!
