Our tour in Egypt has been amazing! Emily at Agate Travel helped us plan a 7 day tour including the famous sights, a cruise on the Nile and arranged accommodation for 3 extra nights in Luxor and an additional night in Cairo. We were very impressed with our tour guides who made us feel like VIPs on arrival. They have been with us at every step of the way, helping us at the airports, transfers to hotels, check in and check out. We have learnt so much about ancient Egypt from our knowledgeable guide. Ahmed has a PhD in Egyptology, building a picture of 5000 years of history, and patiently answered all our questions! He kept us safe, and we have learnt so much. Our 5 star hotels were comfortable and a welcome oasis from the heat of the day. We did the shorter cruise downriver from Aswan to Luxor and it was lovely watching the banks of the Nile glide by. We had the opportunity to learn about essential oils, papyrus art and rock carving and delighted with our purchases. Our tour covered all the important ancient sites; pyramids, temples and museums. We bought an extension to see the Karnak sound and light show, Dendara temple (very quiet when we were there), and an unforgettable early morning hot air balloon ride with clear views of the Nile and Hapshepsut’s temple. Altogether an amazing experience we will treasure always!

Our tour guide Ahmed Samir, is a very nice person. From the minute we met him at the airport he took us on a wonderful journey and we are blessed to have met him. He is amazing and impressive with all his knowledge. He also accommodated us with all our request and always with a smile on his nice face. 💜

Star Shine Tours of Egypt led by Ahmed Samir made the entire trip a wonderful experience. Without Ahmed and his team I don't think it would have been as nice. In fact, Ahmed made the trip the best it could be. Ahmed was so knowledgeable about Egyptian history it was like having an Egyptologist as a private guide!! I believe he has an advanced degree in this historical area of focus and it is very evident. My wife and I arrived a couple of days before other friends and before the Nile cruise began. Ahmed ensured we were well taken care of and we felt safe. Ahmed also had recommendations on things to see and do while we were waiting for other couples. The level of service was very extraordinary. When I needed cold medicine Ahmad went above and beyond my expectations and took care of my health!! Ahmed Samir, along with Star Shine Tours of Egypt, provided an awesome level of service. I will recommend them to everyone I know that is thinking of a trip to Egypt on a Nile cruise.

Amazing! Went with my mother and best friend and I can truly say this was a trip of a lifetime. We learned and saw so much. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide on the Nile. Tarek was so knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptian culture he really opened our eyes and made the sites come to life. On top of that he made sure we didn’t miss other beautiful things in the area, we enjoyed all of it very much and we are so happy to have made a new friend in Egypt. Our next guide Ahmed in Cairo was also extremely knowledgeable with over 30+ years of experience as a guide. He’s also an excellent photographer 😄 He was generous with his time and really made sure we got to soak up as much as we could in our short time in Cairo. All in all every one we met really went above and beyond, the planning was seamless. We had a flight delay and it made for a really chaotic arrival and they made sure that we were taken care of, even refunded a night and moved the trip around to accommodate. The cultural program was accompanied by a German-speaking qualified Egyptologist. It is no longer possible to be more highly qualified. Through the in-depth knowledge of our guide, we were introduced to the mysteries of ancient Egyptian culture. The times were well chosen. A varied program with time for photos and your own explorations. Visiting Muslim Cairo with its beautiful mosques, bazaar and old town was also unforgettable. A visit to the coffee house in the favorite bar of the famous Egyptian writer and winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature Nagib Mahfuz was not missing.
