5 dagen Omo-vallei
Beschrijving
Deze reis neemt je mee naar het zuiden van Ethiopië om de mensen van de Omo-vallei te ontmoeten en te delen. Geïnspireerd door hun omgeving van wilde bomen, exotische bloemen en weelderige vegetatie, gebruiken deze stammen kleurrijke make-up, fel geel, verrassende witten en rijke aardroodjes gemaakt van de kleigrond. De Omo-vallei is een van de meest cultureel rijke tribale regio's op het Afrikaanse continent. Ze dragen flamboyante accessoires en briljante hoofddecoraties om een lopend kunstlichaam te worden. Als een viering van zichzelf, schilderen ze elkaars lichaam en nemen ze gewaagde beslissingen over hun outfits, gemotiveerd door het pure plezier van het creëren en pronken met andere leden van de stam.

Dag 1: Vlieg naar Arbaminch en ga vervolgens voor een culturele safari om een authentiek Dorze-dorp in de bergen met uitzicht op Arbaminch te verkennen. Leer meer over de Dorze-bevolking. Dag 2: Bootsafari op Lake Chamo, daarna rijden naar Turmi. Bezoek een lokaal Konso-dorp en de markten in Keyafer (donderdag) en Dimeka (zaterdag). Dag 3: Rijd naar het dorp Karo, bekend om de littekens van de huid en de decoratieve versieringen, en vervolgens naar het dorp Nyangatom. Bezoek Hamer Tribe Village in de middag. Dag 4: Bezoek het stamdorp Dassenech in de stad Omorate aan de Omo-rivier. Keer terug naar Turmi, rijd naar Jinka, bezoek het Ari-stamdorp, het South Omo Etnografisch Museum en de markten in Keyafer (donderdag) en Dimeka (zaterdag). Dag 5: Rijd door Mago National Park naar een dorp van de Mursi-stam. Keer terug naar Jinka, vlieg terug naar Addis voor een afscheidsdiner en vertrek.

The tour is well organized, pickup staff is always on time and most of the hotels used are amazing. The Omo Valley is a must see region. I highly recommend this provider as a best in class. The days are so well planned, you are not overly tired at the end. Very happy with my tour.

We had a 9 hours layover and we needed a tour of the place. Henok knows so much about this place. He even took us to one of the local house to have Njera. It was the best and Henok is very welcoming and he answered all the questions we had. He also took us to have coffee in exactly how the past generations used to have it. I will definitely recommend him as a tour guide for Addis Ababa day trip

Took a personalized 12 day tour with gishbay tours. Absolutely fabulous. Everything organized to perfection. Wherever we were all the lodges were excellent. Local people were so excited to greet us and offer us coffee in their homes. This is a beautiful contry with wonderful people. I feel blessed to have allowed to go there. Must mention my wonderful guide Gabriel. He was caring, helped this old lady over rocks and up steps. He was also a great companion, knowledgeable and caring. I consider him a brother. Don't be afraid to go to see this amazing country , you will never regret it.

Very nice adventure in Ethiopia for a small group of 7 French Contact with Yenew before and during the perfect stay , very professional person and attentive to our expectations , Good Welcoming and good travel organization .
