I wanted to write a review about my five day Omo Valley tour that I did with Enat Tours. Achenef (Ashu) was my guide. I went solo on this tour with him and a private driver. I felt totally safe and comfortable the entire time. For inexperienced travelers, this is a great experience to go see things that most people have never seen with an experienced guide, but be prepared it is not like traveling in other places. Plan to have limited food and lodging options, you are in the middle of nowhere for 5 days. It’s 100% worth it though, I promise. The villages and the tribes were worth ever seconds of “roughing it”. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to take a glimpse into the world that few will ever see. This region is set back in time, hundreds of years. I was the only foreigner I saw for five days. Most of the children had never seen anybody that looked like me before. It was truly a life changing experience.

A great lifetime experience to Omo Valley with Enat Tours! From the beginning and throughout the trip, everything was perfect and amazing. Ashu was always in contact, making sure all went smoothly. This tour was exceptionally well-organized, and we had an unforgettable experience thanks to our guide, Ashu and our driver Biruk. It's hard to encapsulate the magic of a 9-day adventure in just a few paragraphs, but if you’re a photographer or an adventurer, this trip is an absolute must. Ashu was not only a fantastic guide but also an incredible cook, taking care of us with professionalism while ensuring we had the best possible experiences as photographers. Some of the highlights included visiting the Suri (Surma) tribe and working with KoKo, our local handler, to capture stunning photographs of their way of life. We were also fortunate enough to witness a cow letting ceremony, which was a fantastic bonus to the cultural immersion. Another unforgettable experience was attending a Hamar Bull Jumping ceremony—something I had never seen before despite being well-traveled. It was a remarkable display of tradition and bravery. The accommodations were excellent throughout, and while we camped at a few tribe visits, we were always comfortable, well-fed, and felt completely safe. My 5-day solo trip to the Omo Valley with Enat Ethiopia Tours was unforgettable. Ashu was an excellent guide, and my driver Biruk was not only professional but also incredibly warm and friendly. The highlight of my journey was witnessing the rare Erbore tribe ceremony, a once-in-a-lifetime event that only happens every 40 years. It marks the peaceful transition of power from the elders to the youth, after a successful harvest, and is led entirely by men. If you're planning to visit Ethiopia, Enat Tours is the way to go!

We had an incredible 5-day tour in the Omo Valley with Ashu and our driver Biruke! Each day was filled with unforgettable highlights. On the first day, we visited Dorze village, where we saw the unique elephant-inspired huts and learned about the process of making false banana products. The hospitality of the locals was amazing, and I was invited to join in for four rounds of araki (local liquor). I had to sneakily get out of a few rounds, as they’re very serious about the empty-glass rule! On the second day, we explored Konso village, met the Benna tribe kids who play on stilts by the road, and wandered through the vibrant local market. Day three brought us to Karo village, where the stunning views of the Omo River were breathtaking. The villagers, known for their incredible body painting, were so friendly and creative. Day four took us on a hike to Ari village a serene, green escape into nature. On our final day, we visited the Mursi village, where we learned that wearing lip plates is becoming less common among the younger generation. Our trip was made even better when we had to extend our stay due to a last-minute flight change. During those unexpected hours, Ashu kept us entertained with games and laughter, ensuring we were always having a great time. He was not only a fantastic guide but also incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful. I highly recommend Ashu and Enat Ethiopia Tours to anyone looking to explore Ethiopia,it was an unforgettable experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team to guide us!
