Deze met stenen uitspringende hutten uit de ijzertijd ontlenen hun naam aan de unieke vorm van het gebouw. De Fahan-groep bestaat uit 19 ondergrondse en 18 staande clochans (bijenkorfhutten). Het Gallarus Oratorium is een 7e-eeuwse kerk en kloosterlocatie. Het oratorium is de best bewaarde oude kerk en een van de mooiste oude gebouwen in Ierland.
Kilmalkedar is een vroege Normandische kerkelijke site en een nationaal monument. Het overgebleven kerkgebouw werd halverwege de 12e eeuw gebouwd en vervolgens rond 1200 na Christus uitgebreid. Het terrein omvat het uitspringende Hiberno-romaanse kerkgebouw, een alfabetsteen, een oude zonnewijzer, bullauns en een beloftesteen. Ervaar deze geweldige historische plek met onze deskundige gidsen, zodat je niets mist.
Sint-Branden kon, net als de rest van de wereld, alleen maar speculeren over wat er verder naar het westen lag toen hij in de zesde eeuw van deze kleine kade vertrok. Zullen hij en zijn kleine groep aanhangers de rand van de planeet bereiken of zullen ze worden omvergeworpen door woeste zeemonsters die het uitgestrekte gebied daarbuiten regeren? Hij had geen idee, maar zijn geloof hield hem op de been. De "Voyage of St. Brendan the Navigator", samengesteld in de 9e eeuw, vertelt de geschiedenis van een groep mannen die mogelijk de eerste mensen waren die IJsland, Groenland en mogelijk Nova Scotia bezochten voordat ze terugkeerden via de Hibbertias.
An Riasc is een verlaten christelijke kloostergemeenschap uit de 6e eeuw. Vroege monniken zouden naar de rand van de wereld zijn gereisd om 'het woord' te prediken. De Riasc-gemeenschap vertegenwoordigde de rand van de wereld zoals zij die kenden.

This was one of our favorite days. Mossie picked us up right at our vacation rental in his newer, spotless van. Not having to deal with driving, parking, knowing the must see items, etc. was such a blessing. Mossie was absolutely charming - he knew the Dingle history and all of the locals (we loved listening to them speak "Irish" to each other). Mossie certainly has the Irish story telling talent. 10/10!
My dad, mom, and I had a fantastic time with Helen. She was so knowledgeable and patient. The tour was personalized and exceeded our expectations. We learned so much and the views of the Dingle Peninsula are captivating. I highly recommend Mossie Tours. We truly enjoyed ourselves without needing to worry about driving on the slea head drive or having to pick the best places to stop. Do not pass this opportunity up!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Helen. She drove us, in style, to see the local archeological sites and beautiful countryside and waterside views. It was inspiring and memorable. We were so lucky to have a sunny day and blue skies which made it all the more beautiful. Helen gave us a deeper understanding of the history of the area. She even squeezed in time for us to get a pint at the western most pub in Europe. We'd love to come back and spend more time.
My son and I had a wonderful time with Mossie! Educational and fun trip seeing spots we would not known to have visited and learning things we would not have learned solo. We had a car but opted to do a private tour and so glad we did! Slea head drive and Connor’s pass were beautiful. The beach we stopped at was a favorite for me. Would 100% recommend. Thanks Mossie!
We had THE BEST DAY EVER with Helen! Who was INCREDIBLY patient with my 6 and 10 year old kids! She gave us a private, customized tour of Slea Head Drive - my kids were obsessed with animals so she even suggested a stop on the way that we didn’t even know about where they could feed sheep, lambs, horses, goats and pigs! They were in heaven! Never mind the fact that it was the most picturesque day of our lives! Helen was absolutely LOVELY and our family adored her. We are definitely planning on coming back to Dingle and will definitely be using Mossie’s Tours and Helen again!

Our private tour with Helen exceeded every expectation we had, and honestly became one of the most meaningful experiences of our entire trip (if not our lifetime). We still find ourselves reliving moments from the day and trying to hold onto the peace, serenity, warmth, and welcoming spirit we felt while with Helen. Mossie made our experience with our son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons, one of our most cherished memories, not only of Ireland, but of our extensive travels throughout all of Europe.
