De Garden Route is een klein stukje van de hemel weggestopt aan de oostkust van Zuid-Afrika. Onze 4 daagse tour neemt de hoogtepunten van het gebied samen met het prachtige landschap. Dit is perfect voor degenen die niet veel tijd hebben, maar de beroemde Tuinroute willen ervaren, samen met veel van zijn activiteiten!

Vertrek om 6 uur uit Kaapstad en ga naar Oudtshoorn in het semi-woestijngebied Little Karoo, dat ook de struisvogelhoofdstad van de wereld is. Deze rit volgt de wereldberoemde Route 62, de langste wijnroute ter wereld! We bezoeken de Cango-grotten voor een rondleiding door dit prachtige grottenstelsel en bezoeken ook een struisvogelboerderij om deze enorme vogel van dichterbij te bekijken. Vanavond blijven we in Oudtshoorn en eten we een heerlijke struisvogel. (Diner)
Bij het verlaten van Oudtshoorn steken we de bergketen over naar de kust en de prachtige Tuinroute. Onze eerste stop is de schilderachtige 'kaart van Afrika' uitkijkpunt in de wildernis en dan gaan we naar Knysna (consistent uitgeroepen tot de favoriete stad van Zuid-Afrika). Hier zullen we de Knysna Heads, Waterfront, markten bezoeken en grondig verkennen. Na Knysna passeren we Plettenberg Bay waar we overnachten in Storms River Village
Het prachtige Tsitsikamma National Park wacht vanochtend op ons. Donderende golven, dicht bos, overvloedige vogels en otters, dit Nationaal Park heeft het allemaal! Loop de kustroute naar de hangende brug over Storms River Mouth en ervaar wat dit het mooiste park van Zuid-Afrika maakt Vanaf de Oost-Kaap gaan we terug naar de Tuinroute en naar 's werelds hoogste bungybrug bij Bloukrans (voldoende tijd om te springen voor die sensatiezoekers). Deze 216 m hoge bungy is een waar wonder om te zien, zelfs voor mensen met hoogtevrees! Onze reis leidt ons naar de Garden Route Game Lodge waar we ook zullen overnachten in de luxe accommodatie. We zullen een safaritocht maken in de late namiddag, waar we de mogelijkheid hebben om neushoorns, leeuwen, buffels, cheeta's en vele soorten antilopen te zien. Een uitgebreid en gevarieerd dinerbuffet wordt geserveerd in de lodge en is een ander hoogtepunt! (Ontbijt diner)
We beginnen de dag vroeg met een ochtendsafari om enkele van die dieren te zien die we de vorige avond niet hebben gezien. we gaan richting Hermanus en de beste plek om walvissen te spotten op het land (juni-december). De Southern Right walvissen maken een dramatische comeback nadat ze amper 50 jaar geleden bijna waren uitgestorven. We keren laat in de middag terug naar Kaapstad via de prachtige kustlijn van False Bay, waar we met een beetje geluk enkele dolfijnen zullen zien om ons thuis te verwelkomen. (Ontbijt)

Collecties van thuis, hotels, pensions enz. gevestigd in en rond Kaapstad City. De ophaaltijden worden 1 - 3 dagen voor vertrek naar klanten gemaild. Ophalen begint vanaf 06.00 uur tenzij anders gecommuniceerd.

Quite a personalized tour. Mawande had been punctual, courteous, patient and very knowledgeable about the entire route... would recommend.
We had a lovely trip with Mawande! He knows a lot about history, nature and the culture in SA. We did a lot of fun activities and when I had to go to the hospital Mawande was really helpful which I really appreciated. Also all the accommodations where we stayed at were very nice. Next time I will travel with him again, thank you for all the pictures, driving us around all day and the fun dinner table conversations!
What a fantastic experience. Our amazing guide Mawande was so professional, knowledgeable and took such great care of us. The tour itself was great and packed so much in a limited time - the highlight for sure has to be the Garden Route Game Reserve - an incredible accommodation and experience. Highly recommend and if you’re lucky you may end up with Mawande as your guide :)

We booked a guide for a four-day tour along the garden route and were very lucky to be on the road with Mawande. He has done his job really excellently and attentively attended to our needs all the time. He drove to all the planned stations reliably and not only brought us safely from place to place, but also showed us many additional things and explained them that made our trip even more interesting. You can tell that he really goes out of his way to give his guests a special experience. Being on the road with Mawande was a lot of fun. His friendly, cheerful manner made the tour very enjoyable. He was always courteous, helpful and extremely dedicated to giving us a nice time. We can fully recommend both the tour and Mawande as a guide.
Vaughan was THE BEST guide ever for our trip! We don't usually take guided trips but we were so pleased that we had this time. We saw everything we wanted, laughed and learned loads. This tour was a great way to get a taste of the garden route! Our guide, Dylan, was highly informative, attentive and entertaining! Dylan ensured everyone was comfortable, had a good time and got the most out of this trip. The itinerary was very well planned, just enough to keep the days busy and diverse without feeling rushed. The accommodations, breakfasts and dinners were great and the safari game drives were a special experience. I would highly recommend anyone short on time to do this tour!

We had a fantastic 4 day Garden Route trip with Mawande, our excellent driver guide. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and we learnt so much about South Africa. He made our trip truly unforgettable! The scenery is very beautiful with vineyards, mountains and coastal views. The highlight of the trip was the Garden Route Game lodge and safari. I would highly recommend this trip and definitely ask for Mawande. He was truly amazing.
Mawande - what a fantastic, incredible, gifted tour guide. He is legendary - an absolute first class man: professional, punctual and personable! He honestly made this trip the highlight of our stay in South Africa. He was across all the details, full of knowledge about the route and all the destinations and a great driver too! The 4 day tour was amazing- we loved Tsitikamma and the Game lodge. The accommodation was really good and each stop offered a different perspective on this multi-faceted country. From ostrich farms, suspension bridges, African penguins to the Big 5 - we covered it all! But honestly, if you’re doing this tour - you need to ask for Mawande as he is an exceptional tour guide and I can’t imagine doing this trip without him.
