Stap buiten de gebaande paden en ervaar de natuurlijke schoonheid van Alaska's regenwoud, stranden en wilde dieren tijdens dit onvergetelijke 3-uur durende avontuur met kleine groepen. Onze lokaal begeleide tour brengt je diep in het weelderige Tongass National Rainforest, langs afgelegen stranden en naar verborgen plekken waar adelaars zweven, zalm zwemmen en wilde dieren gedijen. Met maximaal 10 gasten per tour geniet je van een persoonlijke, flexibele ervaring waar je vragen kunt stellen, geweldige foto's kunt maken en op een authentieke manier verbinding kunt maken met het landschap. We zijn gespecialiseerd in kleine groepen om je een rijkere, betekenisvollere verbinding te geven met het land, de wilde dieren en de cultuur. We ontmoeten je direct bij je cruisesteiger — inclusief Ward Cove — en nemen je mee voor een uniek avontuur. De tour begint met een mooie busrit naar het noordelijke uiteinde van het eiland, waar we aankomen bij de Lunch Creek Falls Trailhead. Van daaruit maken we een gemakkelijke wandeling door weelderig, gematigd regenwoud, omringd door torenhoge groenblijvende bomen en de rustgevende geluiden van de natuur. Onderweg stoppen we om de schoonheid van Lunch Creek Falls te bewonderen, een waterval die onder een prachtige houten brug door stroomt – perfect voor het maken van adembenemende foto's. Terwijl we onze reis voortzetten, wandelen we over Lunch Falls Trail voor een ongelooflijke lus van 1,5 kilometer door het regenwoud en dalen dan af naar het strand, waar je tijd hebt om de baai te verkennen, te genieten van het uitzicht op de kust en te zoeken naar zeedieren. Houd je ogen op het water – dit is een uitstekende plek om walvissen te spotten en andere ongelooflijke zeelevens in hun natuurlijke habitat te observeren.

Kijk voor uw vriendelijke Tours gids en busje te wachten in de buurt van de dokken waar u aankomt. We stemmen graag vooraf af met uw groep om een soepele, stressvrije ervaring te garanderen. Als u wilt, kunnen we u ook afzetten op andere lokale plekken die u graag opnieuw wilt bezoeken voor meer verkenning. Je bent op vakantie — laten we het makkelijk, leuk en onvergetelijk maken. We kunnen niet wachten om je te ontmoeten!

Phenomenal experience. The rain forest was beautiful and quiet, very few people around. Jordan is an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and informative. He even gave us some great tips, all of which we took advantage of, about Ketchikan when the tour was over. Highly recommend!
This was an excellent tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the plants, quick sand, bogs and animals. Lots of steps!

It would be good to include in the description that there are many many stairs on the trail. While walking sticks are available and very helpful, some people might not be up for the amount of stairs. Great experience. Very knowledgeable guide - plants, animals, healing properties, stories - entertaining and informative.

We do want to clarify that the tour description does explain that this is a hike through the rainforest and is not recommended for travelers with back problems, heart problems, or other serious medical conditions. Hiking poles are also included because the coastal mountain terrain can be steeper and more uneven than some guests may be accustomed to. Additionally, the presence of stairs and the nature of the trail are addressed in the waiver that all guests are required to read and sign prior to the tour. This tour was a great way to spend part of our day in Ketchikan! The drive is about 30 minutes each way, allowing about two hours in the rainforest area for a hike. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of our questions along the way! I would highly recommend! We didn't see much wildlife but it was a great day!

Our experience was amazing. Went with my husband and our two children, 14 and 8, and there was a decent amount of walking and climbing, I would say children under 8 probably would not have the endurance for this, but kids/explorers 8+ will LOVE this. Jordan runs these tours and he is wonderful. So extremely knowledgeable about the area and the rainforest, and it was really fun to learn from him and listen to him as he guides us through the rainforest, around the beach, and back. From the moment we entered the Rainforest we were mesmerized. It’s beyond gorgeous and it’s so quiet and serene, we just did not want to leave. We loved seeing the hundreds-year-old trees, we learned about some safe plants from which to eat, and we had wild blueberries and huckleberries along our hike; we just felt truly one with nature and we all loved it so much. Exploring the beach was beautiful and truly I could have stayed there for an eternity. We would not hesitate to book something with Jordan again. He and the landscape were just awesome.
