De Acatenango Overnight Trip is voor veel reizigers het hoogtepunt van hun rondreis door Midden-Amerika. Hoewel het een grote en uitdagende wandeling is, is de beloning van kamperen in een tent in de frisse lucht met uitzicht op de Fuego-vulkaan gewoon geweldig. We beklimmen deze vulkaan meer dan al onze concurrenten bij elkaar, regen of zonneschijn. Ons professionele gidsteam en georganiseerde procedures werken hard om de onvoorspelbare chaos van moeder natuur te beheersen om een hoogwaardige ervaring te bieden. Het draait allemaal om de details. We willen dat elke klant een plezierige tijd heeft, waar het avontuur ons ook heen brengt. Een ander ding dat ons onderscheidt, is dat we echt om het milieu geven. Noem ons traditioneel, maar we zijn er trots op dat we geen spoor achterlaten; we pakken al onze spullen op en brengen alles weer naar beneden. Door op deze manier te wandelen, beschermen we het kwetsbare vulkanische ecosysteem waar we zo van houden.

This was by far one of the most challenging but rewarding hikes I’ve ever done. The key to this hike is preparation. You will be sleeping in a tent with a number of people and base camp gets to be about 32F at night, so bring warm clothes. Bring 4 liters of water, & be prepared for a 4.5 uphill hike. I’m a marathon runner and the elevation was definitely tough but worth it. The views were incredible and it was really an amazing experience to see fuego volcan erupt so many times throughout the night. I did not opt to hike close to the crater of fuego as it is a risk that I didn’t feel comfortable taking, being that close to a volatile and active volcano. You’re high above the clouds and it’s just such a gorgeous view. Highly recommend. 10/10

Very unpunctual, the expectation is not clear on the website of what they really offer. You have to ask more on WhatsApp. Only one of the three guides (Don Luis) was attentive to everything, the others went ahead, leaving the group behind and there are parts that are a little dangerous. They do not specify exactly the type of clothing required especially for the tour and for the season. To go to that place, at least three sweaters, leg warmers, booties, if possible walking sticks and none of that describes it, it is also important to set the severity of the tour. The guides were not bilingual.
