Toledo staat bekend als een voorbeeld van co-existentie tussen drie verschillende culturen: Hebreeuws, islamitisch en christelijk. We nemen je mee naar de plekken waar elk van hen de meeste invloed heeft, 5 belangrijke monumenten. De Jezuïetenkerk, het klooster van San Juan de los Reyes, de kerk van El Salvador, de kerk van Santo Tomé en de synagoge van Santa María la Blanca, waar de straten en hoeken een verhaal te vertellen hebben... bijna altijd in conflict met de religie van de bewoners. Geschiedenis en legende komen subtiel samen en onthullen de verborgen waarheid van dit samenleven... dat altijd al tolerant probeerde te zijn. De toegangskaarten zijn niet inbegrepen in de tourprijs en kosten in totaal 14 euro per persoon voor het toeristenarmbandje van Toledo. Dit armbandje geeft niet alleen toegang tot de 5 genoemde bezienswaardigheden, maar ook tot de Moskee van Cristo de la Luz en het Koninklijk College van Adellijke Maagden. De rondleiding wordt in het Spaans gegeven.

Historically biased. The guide took sides with one of the three cultures the tour covered, the Islamic one. I believe guides shouldn't take sides with any of the three.

Disorganized and poor care. We booked a day early. On the day of the tour we were told that there was no Reservation and we were treated badly: raising our voices and move out of line quickly. Dismal handling of the situation. They seem to think they're doing us a favor and not giving us a service. Finally, they made us lose the day of the tour. The next day we find very good free guides (voluntary remuneration is left) in Zocodover Square, excellent alternative.

Great tour to see the spots that are hard to find on your own. We took the Spanish language tour so I could practice listening, but if your Spanish es no bueno you might try a tour with an English speaking guide.
