Beginnend in de serene Paul DA Serra en afdalend in de prachtige Rabaçal-vallei, wandelt u door het weelderige Laurissilva-bos, een UNESCO-werelderfgoed. In tegenstelling tot andere tours, omvatten we een bezoek aan de prachtige Risco Waterval, wat een extra laag ontzag toevoegt aan uw reis. Bovendien voert onze terugweg u door een 500 meter oude tunnel, die eindigt aan de zuidkant van Madeira, wat een unieke en gedenkwaardige afsluiting van uw avontuur biedt.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Pick-up is inbegrepen voor gasten die verblijven in de aangewezen hotels. Wij raden u aan om 10 minuten voor uw geplande ophaaltijd klaar te staan bij de receptie van het hotel. Onze gidsen wachten ongeveer 5 minuten op elke gast. Kijk uit voor onze bestelwagens, die wit (kleiner) of grijs (groter) kunnen zijn. We streven ernaar om een vlotte en tijdige start van uw avontuur te garanderen, hoewel externe vertragingen kunnen optreden. Als dat gebeurt, wordt u op de dag zelf geïnformeerd. Een dag voor de activiteit kunnen we de ophaaltijd aanpassen voor uw gemak.

- Gezondheid en conditie: Deze tour omvat een wandeling van ongeveer 4,5 uur en vereist een gemiddelde conditie. De tour is niet geschikt voor personen met ernstige gezondheidsproblemen of beperkte mobiliteit.
- Regen of zonneschijn: Deze tour gaat door, ongeacht de weersomstandigheden (als het veilig kan)
- Annuleringsbeleid: Er worden geen restituties verleend voor annuleringen die binnen 24 uur voor de aanvangstijd van de activiteit worden gedaan.
- Ontbijt: Zorg ervoor dat u een stevig ontbijt eet voordat u aan de activiteit begint, zodat uw energieniveau tijdens de wandeling hoog blijft.
- Het is mogelijk om eten en drinken te kopen voor de wandeling, maar dit is niet gegarandeerd. Neem uw eigen versnaperingen mee en reken er niet op dat u ze onderweg kunt kopen.
- Meertalige gids: Uw tour kan worden geleid door een gids die vloeiend is in meerdere talen. Hoewel we ons best doen om een gids te vinden die uw voorkeurstaal spreekt, is dit niet altijd gegarandeerd. In dergelijke gevallen wordt de tour in het Engels uitgevoerd.

Fabulous day had with our guide and driver, Ben. Very knowledgeable and friendly and we both enjoyed our walk and the company of our group. The walk itself is set mostly through trees and does have many steps, both up and down. Finishing with a walk through a 800 metre tunnel. Highly recommended.
A great trip but be warned there’s a lot of steps down and up- a reasonable level of fitness required. Waterproof hiking boots would also be a good idea for walking through the tunnel at the end- the water will potentially come up to your ankles. Our guide Marta was fantastic!!
Super nice guided tour where there was room to be in one with nature without long talks and stops from the side of the guide.

This hike, known as easy, is not at all easy! There are two ways to get there, public parking and a pick-up place for tourist buses except that the two are separated by two kilometers of climb! You will not have the same experience at all depending on your starting point, it is surely one of the activities and the most intense time I have in my life, if your cardio is not well hung I do not recommend it or take a coach!
Excellent 10k hike through the forest and levadas. Beautiful, lush forest, wild flowers and running water and waterfalls - stunning. Lots of steps up and down but well worth the effort. Highly recommend.

Decent walk through to the Levada then through a tunnel to the other side. Review online say this is a hard walk but it’s mostly flat with stairs up and down. I would say most age groups and fitness levels can do this hike no problem, if you have issues with stairs I would not recommend.

What a wonderful day. The weather was not great, cloudy, windy, cool with some heavy rain showers, but once up the mountain, it was so beautiful regardless. The walk was easy, apart from a long flight of stairs which Ben, our guide, just encouraged us to take our time over. Waterproof shoes with good grip are a good idea, waterproof jacket and a warm layer would make it more comfortable. Ben's knowledge of the Island and his communication were excellent. The stop at the cafe before and after the walk to use facilities and have refreshments was helpful. Walking along the full, flowing levada was so relaxing. A beautiful way to understsnd and appreciate the uniqueness of this island. Would recommend.

This hike was very nice. Marta told us a lot of interesting things about the Levadas and the Laurel Forest. Nature is simply fascinating, the forest and then the 25 springs, including the waterfall. A great experience.
