Dit is onze bestseller tour, die je meeneemt naar een van de wildste en meest afgelegen delen van het meer die de meeste andere tours zelden bereiken. Met onze snellere boot steken we gemakkelijk het open water over, terwijl we in de smalle kanalen langzaam en voorzichtig door een rustige natuurlijke omgeving bewegen. Aan het begin van de tour passeren we het fort Lesendro en gaan we verder richting de beroemde drie eilanden, waar brede velden met waterlelies zich over de kanalen uitstrekken. Van daaruit steken we het meer over naar verder gelegen en minder bezochte waterwegen. Onze bestemming is een verborgen gebied dat we de “Amazone” noemen. Hier slingeren smalle en ondiepe kanalen door dichte wilgenbomen, riet en waterlelies. Door omgevallen takken en lage waterstanden kunnen grotere boten dit gebied niet betreden, waardoor het stil en onaangetast blijft. Dit rustige deel van het meer is de thuisbasis van vele vogelsoorten, waaronder ijsvogels en reigers. De tour biedt een andere kant van het meer - kalm, wild en minder verkend.

We booked this 2 hour boat tour directly from Milan. Milan answered all our questions and pro-actively informed us on the day of the tour. We had selected the fast boat so we could see a larger area of the lake. Milan was very conscious of the environment, slowed down for us to take pictures and was quite entertaining all throughout the tour. It is better to do the tour as early in the morning as is feasible to see the birds on the lake and also avoid the sunlight. A very serene, tranquil and enjoyable experience.
Fantastic trip - well worth doing. Milan was a wonderful guide and clearly cared for the lake that he works in. The wildlife and scenery were fabulous with information when required from Milan. We chose the private tour that took us further in the lake which we are so glad we did. As it’s June and we went early on in the day we barely saw another boat. Also took the panoramic drive on the way back to base that was recommend.

We booked the 2 hour Amazon boat tour for four of us. The whole experience was wonderful. It was easy to book online through the operator’s website and Milan was there and waiting for us when we arrived. He was friendly, informative and clearly passionate about the lake and the environment that he has grown up in. Lake Skadar is beautiful and the smaller, faster boat tour allowed us to experience parts of the lake that the bigger boats miss out. We would absolutely recommend anyone do this tour with Milan. He even provided cold home made mint beverages!
