We booked this tour two weeks out from the start date. We were promised a hike on day 1 to Machu Picchu. We paid for a private transfer, a tour of Inca ruins, a hike through the sun gate, a scenic lunch, and a dinner that night. We got none of that. Instead of a private transfer, we were put into a car share with four random people, we got no information as to who these people were (they clearly were not tourists), we just trusted that they understood us and we were indeed going to the right place! Needless to say we were incredibly uncomfortable during the entire journey. We drove for two hours to Olabtatombo in a car instead of a private bus. We were then dropped to our hotel in Aguas Calientas at 8am and told that there was nothing else on for the rest of that day until our tour of Machu Picchu the following morning! We paid for a two day Inca tour hike and we didn’t get it. We probably got 1/3 of what was advertised!! Throughout this, the tour operator, Edwin, was extremely unprofessional and had shocking communication skills. Even down to details like our bus to and from Machu Picchu: he told us he booked a return but he actually only booked us a one way ticket. He gave us little to no information and was happy to give us 1/3 of what was advertised, while charging us the full amount. We actually calculated how much the tour would have cost us if we just did it ourselves, and it worked about at costing about €400 total for two people. Shocking seeing as we paid €1200!! I can’t encourage people enough to avoid this tour. This operator doesn’t know what he is doing and will let you down at every hurdle. I would advise people to book with ANYONE else and do not trust this scam artist with your money!!

At the time you made your reservation, the 2-Day Inca Trail permits were already sold out. This was clearly communicated to you before your booking was confirmed. We even offered you the option to cancel your reservation, you chose to proceed with the alternative tour after being fully informed of the changes. Additionally, you made your reservation only a few days before your departure date, which significantly limited the availability of permits and services. It is also important to note that you decided to modify the itinerary on your own by extending your stay in Aguas Calientes for an extra night at your own expense. You also chose to purchase your own return train tickets independently. These were personal decisions and were not part of the tour package provided by us. Before the tour we explained to you, and you confirmed your acceptance of those conditions. We regret that your expectations were not met, but we cannot agree with statements claiming that you were promised services that were unavailable and had already been disclosed to you before the tour began. Our guide Jhon Valencias laid out everything for us, providing the train, bus, and entry tickets, making the experience incredibly easy. The views along the hike were great!
Jhon (Panda) was fantastic. He had great knowledge of the history and area, spoke fluent English and was a great laugh too.

Excellent tour operator. Our experience was incredible and our guide was very knowledgeable and responsive. We had to make a last minute amendment to our trip and they were able to adapt and accommodate our itinerary almost immediately. They are professional and well connected and will make sure your trip is a 5 star experience. Highly recommended!
