2-daagse Inca Trail naar Machu Picchu

Incatrekkers made ALL the DIFFERENCE in our trip to Peru, far exceeded our expectations! We feel so fortunate that we booked with Juvenal and his team! My only regret is that we did not book more time with Incatrekkers. If I could do it again I would have chose to extend our tour through the Sacred Valley — next time! In October my husband and I did the 2-day Machu Picchu trip with Juvenal and his team, starting from KM104, hiking up to Puerta del Sol where we overlooked the archeological site, and then down the trail to Machu Picchu itself. The next day we went back to Machu Picchu (via the switchbacks, on a bus) and explored many of the archeological sites with expert commentary from Juvenal, who not only knows a great deal but is very engaged with the place — this ultimately helped us see Machu Picchu and environs through his eyes, bringing it to life! From the start, Juvenal demonstrated a profound knowledge of the area’s flora and fauna. He could identify every bird we saw and every flower. He described the history of each place, the astronomical calculations and considerations, the native and cultivated plants, and the cosmology that made each place important and sacred. He fielded all our questions and has a deep knowledge of everything about the region. He is personable, punctual and dependable. If you want to learn about the human history and the natural history while spending time outdoors hiking or walking in this spectacular, awe-inspiring part of the world, would definitely recommend Incatrekkers 100%.
