A fabulous afternoon in Sunny York Visited 4 super independent eatery’s who looked after us well Our guide Vickie was great, not just a tour guide but a lovely chatty young lady We had a super group of 6 who all got on so well Definitely recommend this as a day out
A great way to learn about the food scene in York. We love to book tours like this early in our stay in a city, so we can learn about restaurants we want to go back to. Kay, our guide, made this such a fun activity - took us to amazing small restaurants (and a bustleing food market/court. She gave us history of the city and the food venues themselves - a variety of cuisines. Kay was attentive to everyone in the group and took care in helping a member of the tour with food sensitivities.
Fun food tour with a small group of lovely people. Our tour guide Kirsty was very friendly and good fun! Attentive to any special request. Tour wasn’t rushed and we had 4 stops in total.
Such a wonderful experience. Sarah was such a friendly and knowledgable guide who we thoroughly enjoyed spending our afternoon with. The food was incredible and we visited places we never would have done but already can’t wait to go back to. Highly recommend this tour!!
The tour was great! Nikki our guide was so amazing, she talked through where we were going and gave us little facts on the way about York itself, she got stuck in with getting to know everyone and made us all feel very at ease! The tour took you to four different places and the portions varied in size, but after was left stuffed. A drink at each place to from a cocktail, sirian tea, wine and a coffee ...what more could you ask for! We live just outside of York , but it was great to go to different places we may not have gone to before.
Great opportunity to meet new people and try foods from other regions. Also helps reach your steps for the day!
Thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our guide Kay was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed her company very much. The sample menus were all delicious and encouraged us to come out of our comfort zone . Would highly recommended this experience.
We can highly recommend this walking food tour. It was just the right balance and as we were a small group it worked perfectly. Our guide was knowledgeable & engaging and wove history & culture into each stop. We visited a thoughtfully curated mix of 4 local gems—ranging from family-run eateries to tucked-away places that most tourists would never find. Every dish we tried was delicious. We will definitely re-visit all of the places we went to. The pacing of the tour was perfect: enough walking to build an appetite between stops, but never rushed or tiring. We left full, happy, and with a deeper appreciation for some of the independent eateries in York. Highly recommended!
Excellent tour. Food and drink venues very,very good. Shared tour with two very nice couples. Guide for the afternoon was very good. Great experience. Highly recommended.
Excellent balance of walking, eating and history. Kay was an excellent and informative guide. The tour took us to places that we would not have found by ourselves.
