We came all the way from Aberdeen for a few days in York, the four of us, me, my wife and our two kids. The Wizard Walk was one of the highlights of our trip. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when we booked it, but it turned out to be great fun. It wasn’t a history tour or a history lesson. Instead, it was all about the magic, the stories and the experience. There were lots of magic tricks throughout the walk, which kept the kids interested from start to finish. Our guide was fantastic and really made the experience enjoyable. The tricks were fun and there were plenty of moments where the kids were genuinely surprised and excited. It was nice seeing them so involved rather than just walking around looking at buildings. What I also liked was that it worked well for all four of us. Sometimes you book something that’s mainly for the kids and the adults just go along with it, but my wife and I enjoyed it too. The atmosphere was relaxed, entertaining and there was a good bit of humour along the way. The walk itself was also a nice way to explore York. We got to see the city while having something entertaining going on rather than simply walking around sightseeing. Coming all the way from Aberdeen, we wanted to make our trip to York worthwhile, and I’m really glad we booked this. The four of us had a great time and the kids are still talking about the magic tricks. Definitely worth doing if you’re visiting York with children. It was fun, different and a really good family experience.

A fantastic tour around surrounded by laughter from people of all ages. Highly recommend it, and recommend buying the wand kit for the kids! An inferno of fun!!

We took the tour as a family of four with two Harry Potter mad children. (12 and 7). From the very start the humour and chat from our tour guide was at a perfect level for the children to find funny and engaging, and as we moved around the city time flew by. The combination of tricks, jokes and sights were perfect. We went on a very warm day but the tour guide had a good understanding of safe places to stand, often with shade as an option. It was busy (school holidays) but still felt very personal to our children (and all children on the tour got involved). When booking the price seemed a lot but having done it- it was more than value for money as the most enjoyable part of our day. We had never been to York before - and as a result doing this as our first activity helped us get our bearings and meant we could revisit places later in the day. Highly recommend!

Amazing with the children and was very interactive. The way he couldn't remember peoples names was really funny. His magic tricks were incredible but some of them went wrong (in a funny way 😄)!

It was amazing I love the experience

It was really good and there were very amazing tricks and the laughs because of the halirious jokes put a smile on other people's faces I would definitely recommend trying out this activity if u live in york or if ur travelling to york.

Absolutely wonderful, Phoenix is just magic, really! Had children and adults absolutely captivated, thank you for your patience as well and kindness to take the time afterwards to speak with our extremely excited 5 year old, who hasn’t stopped talking about it since :)

Phoenix 🐦‍🔥 was a wonderful guide, very funny and provided excellent entertainment for the kids and adults. My daughter is 11 and she very much enjoyed it, as did I.

Brilliant from start to finish! We took our shy 5yr old granddaughter and it was lovely to see her giggle at the silly jokes and be amazed at the magic tricks. Well worth it, lots of stops so you don’t feel like you are walking far. She loved the wand kit too!
