Il vulcano Cerro Negro è uno dei vulcani più attivi del Nicaragua! Questa esperienza sensazionale inizia dalla città di León dove ti veniamo a prendere, guidiamo per circa 1 ora fino a raggiungere la base del Vulcano, iniziamo l'escursione attraverso il versante roccioso per circa 45 minuti a 1 ora - splendide viste sulla catena montuosa Los Maribios e gli splendidi contrasti dei suoi dintorni sono da non perdere. Una volta in cima ci prendiamo qualche minuto per goderci il panorama, immagini uniche! Poi procediamo a vestirci con l’attrezzatura protettiva –la tua sicurezza viene prima di tutto-, la tua guida fornirà tutte le istruzioni per svolgere l’attività che conosciamo come “Volcano Boarding”, che consiste nello scivolare giù su una tavola di legno attraverso la parte sabbiosa per l’esperienza di scarica di adrenalina! Alla fine facciamo uno spuntino veloce per rinfrescarci e tornare a Leon o continuare con uno dei nostri numerosi tour aggiuntivi...

David was the best tour guide we could have asked for this volcano boarding excursion. He was energetic, knowledgable and super fun! You can tell he is passionate about Leon and Nicaragua and wants you to have the best experience. Everything from pick-up to hiking and boarding down went perfectly. I also loved that it was a smaller group, it made the experience more intimate. I was between a few tour operators booking for volcano boarding but am so glad I chose Nica Nica Tours! Thank you!

We booked a day trip to Cerro Negro Volcano with Nica Nica Tours, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Mario and David picked us up right on time at Hotel Tranquilo in Las Peñitas, León (we highly recommend this hotel). David warmly welcomed us and clearly explained our itinerary for the day, which made us feel comfortable and excited. The drive to Cerro Negro was smooth and scenic, and along the way, David shared fascinating insights about the local landscape, history, and culture. His knowledge and passion for the area really added depth to the trip. Once we arrived, David guided us up the volcano at a pace that was perfect for our group (age rages from 18 to 58), making sure we had plenty of water breaks and photo opportunities. Standing at the top, the views were absolutely breathtaking — a mix of black volcanic rock, lush green surroundings, and distant mountains. The highlight, of course, was volcano boarding down the slope — such a thrilling and unique adventure! David made sure we felt safe and confident before we started, and it was pure adrenaline and fun all the way down. We ended the day feeling exhilarated, well taken care of, and grateful for the personal attention and professionalism of both Mario and David. If you’re visiting León, I can’t recommend Nica Nica Tours enough — they truly make the experience special. Great time was had by all!
The experience was very good, very punctual with the departure to the volcano, the routine was very interactive with interesting facts about the volcano among other things, and the photos were very good along with the service provided.

An unforgettable experience! 🌋✨ We did the Cerro Negro Volcano tour with Nica Nica tours and it really exceeded all our expectations. From the start, the service was excellent and everything was very well organized. The walk was amazing, with spectacular views, but what really made the difference was our guide: super friendly, attentive and always watching that we were all comfortable and enjoying ourselves to the fullest. You could see his passion for what he does and that made the tour even more special. Undoubtedly, an experience that we would repeat and that we recommend 100%.
