Prova l'emozione di scendere lungo il pendio del vulcano Cerro Negro, uno dei vulcani più attivi dell'America Centrale. L'escursione sul vulcano dura circa un'ora. Esploriamo il cratere principale e percorriamo il bordo fino al punto più alto. Le viste panoramiche sul Pacifico sono mozzafiato, puoi vedere la città coloniale di Leon, l'oceano Pacifico e la catena vulcanica. Dopo le istruzioni e dopo aver indossato l'attrezzatura di sicurezza scivoliamo giù dal vulcano. La velocità è controllata usando i piedi come pause. Più veloce vai, più estrema sarà l'attività. Se non vuoi fare il vulcano boarding puoi anche scendere a piedi dal vulcano.

Il Cerro Negro è un vulcano giovane e unico. Offre uno scenario naturale straordinario, l'opportunità di fare un'escursione su un vulcano attivo, vedere il suo cratere e scendere a bordo. I ripidi pendii di questo vulcano nero sono privi di qualsiasi tipo di vegetazione. Un'eruzione nel 1999 ha lasciato un ampio bordo di materiale vulcanico nero attorno al Cerro Negro e ci sono due crateri più piccoli proprio accanto al vulcano che si sono formati di recente. Il cratere, che spesso emette fumo e gas, può essere osservato dall'alto, e il bordo del cratere conduce all'altro lato dove si può vedere l'imponente catena vulcanica con diversi vulcani (tra cui il Telica e il San Cristóbal) allineati uno dopo l'altro. I ripidi pendii del vulcano forniscono un’ottima superficie per il Volcano Boarding. Questa emozionante esperienza richiede poco tempo prima di raggiungere il fondo. È anche possibile passeggiare o correre godendosi la splendida vista. In ogni caso, il Cerro Negro offre un'esperienza unica e intensa.

It's a difficult hike but worth every step up. The guide was great and motivated me for sure. It was a little intimidating but he made me and my daughter feel safe

I don't leave reviews (aside from this, i suppose) bc I believe we live in an increasingly superficial world where ppl want assurances before they chose to live. They don't want to just experience something. Anyway. This guide was kind. My 12 yo son didn't want to sled down. I had to hold him as he cried. This is hard for a father. Howwvwr, my son listened to the encouragement of the guide...to be courageous and strong, but that it was OK to not do it. In essence, he was human. He acted like a parent (which he is). I'm writing a review because of this....the guide. The tour was good, too.

Russell was the best tour guide ever. He was very attentive to us because I had knee surgery 8 months prior so I was going much slower than I anticipated and my fiancés anxiety kicked in after looking down and he consoled her and encouraged her that she would be able to continue and she did. I would recommend him 100 times if I could. The way he assisted us both throughout the hike up the volcano was amazing, he went above and beyond. He gave clear and concise directions on what needed to be done in order to slide down safely and we had the best time ever. Russell we just want to publicly thank you again.
This activity was great. The guide was informative. We knew we would have to carry our own gear up the volcano, but you were able to pay a local $5 at the start if you wanted.

Our tour guide Russel was super funny and cool. He made us feel super comfortable and motivated us to finish. It’s definitely a difficult hike for beginners but it went by smoothly as Russel made sure we were okay he would check on our breathing and how we felt. Would recommend! 10/10 experience
