This was amazing. We did the full experience to include the film. It’s right on route 1. We spent a couple of hours there – lots of interactive engaging areas, all about volcanos (obviously). There is a nice café too. Very good value for money.
We turned off spontaneously and were a bit scared about the price at first, BUT it is really extraordinarily impressive and technically up to date. You can experience an earthquake with your feet, all kinds of eruptions of volcanoes in Iceland. A great movie with the breathtaking volcanic eruptions ... That's great. Must do
Plan B because of the bad weather, but at the end of the holiday a disappointment. It works nicely but could not meet the expectations. Rather boring for the children 10-12 y. Definitely not worth the money
We visited this center with a senior discount We were kindly received by a Spanish geologist who, especially now that a volcano is active, imagines himself in “lazy country”. First watched the film, then almost took a private tour, because it was not busy yet and enjoyed the exhibition and the view of the various volcanoes on the roof of the lava center. Iceland, the only country that is getting bigger.
