La vista all'interno della Grotta di Ghiaccio è davvero spettacolare la combinazione dei colori del ghiaccio, si avrà la possibilità di vedere alcuni incredibili ghiaccio nero così come alcune caratteristiche di ghiaccio blu. La grotta di ghiaccio di Katla è davvero unica. La grotta di ghiaccio si trova nel ghiacciaio Kötlujökull che è un ghiacciaio di sbocco del ghiacciaio Mýrdalsjökull. Sotto il ghiacciaio attende il possente vulcano Katla da cui prendono il nome sia il ghiacciaio che la grotta di ghiaccio. Il tour parte dal villaggio di Vík dove salirai su una Super Jeep che ti porterà fino alla grotta di ghiaccio. Lì indosserai ramponi e un casco per prepararti a camminare all'interno della grotta di ghiaccio naturale. La tua Guida Esperta ti informerà su tutto il ghiacciaio e su come la grotta di ghiaccio è formata da madre natura. - Il tempo di guida a Vík da Reykjavík è di circa 2 ore e 30 minuti in buone condizioni stradali. Amazing experience. Highly recommend. If you want to see a glacier up.close this is the experience. Loved it.
Amazing experience! It exceeded all expectations. Hiking around the glacier felt like being on a totally different planet. We got to see mountains from Game of Thrones and Star Wars along the way. And even saw a location from Interstellar! Our guide, Edgar was so friendly and full of energy. Seeing the layers of volcanic ash protecting the glacier was so cool. Overall we would recommend the tour to everyone.
We had a great trip w Syra. She was an excellent guide and driver. I appreciated that she took us to a viewpoint before the glacier and gave us time to take photos. She was very knowledgeable about glaciers and was overall a wonderful host. Great booking and touring experience.
This tour was excellent and Beda was a fantastic guide! He is very knowledgeable, patient, kind and funny. We learned a lot about the glacier and had plenty of opportunities to take photos and videos. The trip to the glacier was beautiful and the hike up to the cave was amazing but well prepared. I would absolutely recommend this tour if you want to not only get onto the glacier but also experience being inside an ice cave!
We had such a wonderful time on this excursion. The meeting place is easy to find in Vik with plenty of parking available. The cookies and hot chocolate at the beginning and end are a very welcome addition to the experience (as noted by my children). The glacier is spectacular and our guide was very knowledgeable explaining everything we were seeing and answering SO many questions. The cave itself is truly breathtaking and well worth the walk up to it. I highly recommend this excursion for anyone traveling to Iceland, young and “seasoned” people alike.
It was an awesome experience. Our tour guide was Beda and was excellent. He was very patient and answered all our questions. It’s a very close encounter with iceberg and will not get another opportunity. It is worth the money. I definitely recommend to others.
Gabriel, our tour guide, was so interesting. He really did a great job and you could tell he really cared about the glacier/cave. Beg him to tell you the raven story, even better if he enhances it with his video!
Great ice cave tour , not too cold. A little strenuous hiking to the cave but not too bad. Definitely worth it!
This was a fabulous experience from start to finish! Our guide couldn’t have been better! He was knowledgeable about the geological history, the glacier and also had stories of how the area had been used by modern day filmmakers. He was so much fun and made our day one of the best we had in Iceland!
