We had a wonderful experience with our guide Bernardo! He was extremely informative, sharing so many interesting facts and stories that made each stop even more enjoyable. We never felt rushed at any of the locations, which gave us plenty of time to take everything in and enjoy the experience. He also made a point of checking in with us throughout the tour to make sure we were comfortable and doing okay, which we really appreciated. At the end of the tour, he was able to drop us off directly at our hotel, which was incredibly convenient. Overall, the tour was well-paced, informative, and enjoyable. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend this tour to others!
Excellent, full day adventure. It covered all the sites, and our guide, Joao, was absolutely great! He shared the local perspective, and was a wealth of knowledge. The Lunch spot he picked was excellent! His timing, perfect for avoiding the crowds. Cannot say enough good things about this tour.
Pedro was a great tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and knew everything like the back of his hand. He was very enthusiastic and entertaining! I recommend him to anyone.
The tour allowed us to experience several things that would have been difficult to organize or do on our own. It’s a lot to fit into one day, but absolutely worth it. We ended up with a out 5 miles of walking but this is split up over several stops and doable for most people. The weather was also a lot cooler compared to Lisbon so an extra layer and food walking shoes are a must. Davide was an incredible guide and host who made the day special for our entire group. He had a relaxed and friendly demeanor and good sense of humor. We enjoyed the day start to finish with him. In the morning we were a little concerned about my mother in law's ability to walk the distance but Davide encouraged her and took extra care throughout the day. Davide’s great knowledge of history added valuable context and made me appreciate everything we saw even more. I would highly recommend this tour—and specifically Davide
We had a wonderful day to Sintra with our guide, Ramos. The information, lunch, and trip itself was exceptional. Highly recommend.
This is a must do if you are in this region and especially with guide. We are experienced travelers and we are selective about which tours we do with and without a guide. This trip far exceeded our expectations and we feel a guided trip to Sintra is the best way to go. Our guide was Joao. Request him! You will not be sorry. His depth of knowledge and his way of delivering it are bit philosophical/thought-provoking (even to those of us twice his age). He explained the symbolism of what was designed and built throughout the tour and was very thoughtful about the choices he made for our group throughout the day. Joao is an experienced guide, talking and joking with other guides as he lead us with good energy, and a very down to earth vibe. Thanks, Joao, for a fantastic day!
I was in Lisbon for a couple of days before a cruise. It was my first visit to Portugal, and I wanted to experience some of the local culture, so I chose this tour. I’m so glad I did! Our guide Hugo was very knowledgeable in Portuguese history and the sites we visited and how they fit in that history. Our first stop was Sintra itself and after a brief presentation about the history, we had some free time to explore on our own and have some coffee and pastries before walking to Quinta da Regaleira, the beautiful manor house and grounds. Our tour allowed us to see the first floor of the house. There was so much to see on the grounds and Hugo provided in-depth information. Our next stop was Pena Palace, which commands beautiful views of the Atlantic. We had the choice to walk up to the base of the palace or take the shuttle (associated cost). I chose to walk, which was a bit steep but not terribly long. Hugo gave us information about the palace before letting us explore a little on our own. Highlights were the chapel and scenic walk. Next we had a relaxing lunch, which you can opt into before the tour. It is a Prix-fixe lunch. Next we drove to Cabo da Roca for a brief stop, which is the western most point on the European continent. Our final stop was Cascais, which had originally been a fishing village but is now a coastal resort. This was a wonderful introduction to Portugal. I highly recommend this tour. Our tour bus held eight passengers, which was the number of people on our tour. The small group enhanced the quality of the tour. Word of caution, they are not kidding when they say steep cobblestone walkways. An accessible tour may be a better option if you have mobility issues.
Excellent tour to learn about Portugal’s cultural and religious history. The lunch option is a must, you’ll visit a traditional Portuguese family own restaurant. Ramon our tour guide was excellent! He is very knowledgeable and charismatic.
Absolutely great trip. Awesome insight from Ramos. He also did a masterful job of optimizing our time getting the most out of each stop. The itinerary was outstanding with each stop adding a new experience and a deeper appreciation of Portugal and its history.
Luis was a great guide. He was a wealth of knowledge and made the entire tour very educational and fun.
