La Montagna dei 7 Colori o Rainbow Mountain (Rainbow Mountain) o meglio conosciuta dai locali come Cerro Colorado, si trova a Vinicunca, provincia di Quipicanchis, dipartimento di Cusco. Le sue formazioni geologiche rivelano tutto il loro splendore, in contrasto con l'azzurro del cielo, formando una formidabile barriera tra il deserto costiero e la giungla amazzonica. Le montagne di Vinicunca sono uno dei luoghi spettacolari della catena montuosa di Vilcanota, in attesa di una colorazione naturale, questa colorazione è dovuta alla presenza di pietre sedimentarie in erosione. Ciò che colpisce è il modo in cui le pietre sono state formate per formare un insieme di sette colori. L'altezza della montagna è di circa 5.000 metri sul livello del mare. Vinincunca o Montagna dei Sette Colori, è una delle grandi attrazioni da non perdere durante il tuo viaggio in Perù, è inclusa nell'elenco dei 100 luoghi del mondo che devi visitare prima di morire. Il paese di Cusipata sarà la nostra tappa obbligata per gustare la nostra colazione a buffet e anche nel pomeriggio sarà il luogo del pranzo.
PIANO DI VIAGGIO L'avventura inizia tra le 4:00 del mattino. M. e le 4:30 m., momento in cui il nostro trasportatore verrà a prendervi al vostro alloggio, dopodiché andremo alla località di Cusipata Verso le 6:30 arriveremo a Cusipata dove gusteremo una colazione a buffet. Dopo la colazione inizieremo la salita lungo una strada sterrata comunale fino a raggiungere quota 4.800 metri. Successivamente, inizieremo una passeggiata attraverso un sentiero di 3 km, lungo il percorso godrete di paesaggi ricchi di flora e fauna delle Ande. La colorata rete montuosa inizierà ad apparire poco a poco, fino a raggiungere il punto panoramico a 5.000 metri sul livello del mare. Poi scenderemo lungo lo stesso percorso, per salire a bordo del nostro veicolo e scendere a Cusipata, dove pranzerete in modo delizioso e poi ritorneremo alla città imperiale di Cusco. Alla fine del Tour della Montagna dei Colori, tornerai a Cusco dove il nostro trasporto ti porterà al centro città (circa alle 16:30)

Everything was great, Dora and Renato were very kind, they picked us up at our accommodation, helped us with everything, and were always attentive.
Really great tour. Freddie our guide was so lovely, funny and knowledgeable. He was very attentive and made sure everyone was ok. He also on the way back showed us a different route down which was beautiful. 100% recommend!!
Challenge completed. Excellent tour, walking uphill to the 5036 meters of height of the Vinicunca rainbow mountain and then 100 more meters to contemplate the Red Valley. The journey, walking slowly and with pauses, is achievable. While you can choose to do it on horseback or an ATV (the last part requires ascending steep stairs), I chose to walk to slowly take in the entire landscape. Bring coca leaves and floral water; it will help you with altitude sickness. Although the day was sunny, it is still necessary to dress warmly. Don't miss the Red Valley; beautiful views await you.
The guide Dora was kind, attentive, and explained everything regarding the history of the Mountain of Seven Colors. She also kept an eye on each of the hikers. Great experience

Everything went perfectly, punctual and precise, and the place is wonderful.
Freddie is a nice guy. Pick up was prompt. He informed me how to get to the Red Valley and when to be back in the parking lot. I stuck to the schedule but someone else didn't. And so all the rest of us ended up wasting time. Breakfast and lunch were both at the same restaurant - buffet style. Quality and quantity of food were both very good.
Excellent experience! Our guide Hilthon shared us about the culture of Cusco and taught us many interesting things, took care to keep the group together and always kept an eye on us being okay, definitely made the experience even more wonderful! The mountain of 7 colors or Vinikunka is extraordinary, and all the landscapes around it beautiful, the trekking is worth 100%, and our tour included breakfast and lunch, plus the trekking poles to support us. I would recommend it to everyone!!
Fredi and Carlos are the best tour guides in all of Peru. If you are coming to Peru please do yourself a favor and book with them
I would not use this tour operator because we got the confirmation for 4:30am but the operator later stated via email that they would pick us up 30 minutes earlier which wasn’t in the confirmation or description. When we tried to contact them asking where are they said that we missed the pick up and would have to double pay for a taxi to get on the tour.
