Villaggi sciistici di Lousã, giornata intera da Coimbra

Viaggio nel mondo rurale, campagna naturale con degustazione di prodotti locali. Abbiamo viaggiato attraverso la Serra da Lousã, molto vicino e intorno a Coimbra, alla ricerca di antiche usanze, abitudini rurali, abbiamo apprezzato la gastronomia locale, abbiamo ammirato i villaggi di montagna di Cerdeira, Candal, Talasnal e Casal Novo costruiti con pietra di scisto. Andremo agli estremi, visiteremo il castello di Arouce e la spiaggia naturale Na Sra Piedade ai piedi della montagna e saliremo fino al punto più alto di Trevim per bilanciarci sulla famosa altalena di Lousã. Il pranzo sarà servito in un ristorante tipico con cucina locale, la chanfana (carne di capra cotta lentamente nel forno a legna). Ci sono altre opzioni se non ti piace questo piatto tipico. Per concludere la giornata, ci sarà ancora spazio per una degustazione di formaggio di pecora e capra DOP, olio d'oliva, pane e vino nella capitale del formaggio, Rabaçal. Dopo visite e degustazioni, si ritorna al punto di partenza.

Fantastic experience. Beautiful scenery and waterfalls. Our guide was amazing. He knew all the best restaurants and local food places. Very knowledgeable. Customized our tour on the fly just for us. One of my best tour guides I have ever had.

A wonderful, if exhausting, day exploring caves, visiting a wonderful independent winery, and seeing the beautifully restored, medieval limestone and schist villages near Sicó and Lousã. Lots of walking, including some steep uphill steps, but VERY MUCH worth the effort.
It was to give you an idea of how difficult times were in the past :) you said it was ok to walk... I hope you enjoyed the cheese and lunch "chanfana" too. I look forward to your next visit to go to the other villages :) Thanks
