Il punto d'incontro è in Plaza Antofagasta alle 6:15, di fronte alla stazione ferroviaria Salta, tutti i passeggeri faranno il check-in con biglietti e passaporti. Una volta che tutti si sono registrati e si sono seduti all'interno dell'autobus, inizia il viaggio. Alle 7:35, la tua prima tappa fotografica è a Campo Quijano, situato a 30 chilometri dalla capitale. Ritorna all'autobus alle 8:05 e fai la seconda fermata al Viaducto del Toro, situato sulla Quebrada.
Continua e fermati a El Alfarcito, un luogo dove la tradizione dell'artigianato locale viene mantenuta viva. Goditi una colazione di campagna e visita la fiera dell'artigianato. Inoltre visiteremo la Fondazione Father Chifri, un'organizzazione che aiuta a ottenere risorse e fornisce istruzione e formazione alla popolazione locale.
Quindi andiamo dritti a San Antonio de los Cobres, una cittadina ai piedi della collina di Terciopelo. Arrivando alle 11:40, raggiungeremo la stazione ferroviaria e ci imbarcheremo sull'emblematico Train to the Clouds.
Alle 12:00 inizia il viaggio in treno e vivi la bellezza della natura, della quiete e dell'immensità. A bordo c'è il servizio bar, il servizio postale e il merchandising per rendere questo viaggio un piacere e un ricordo indimenticabile. Intorno alle 13:00, arriva al Viadotto di Polvorilla, il ponte più riconosciuto della zona. Qui, scendi dal treno e hai 30 minuti per visitare il luogo e scattare foto incredibili. Sali sul treno e inizia il ritorno a San Antonio de los Cobres, arrivando alla stazione intorno alle 14:45.
Qui avremo due ore di tempo libero in cui possiamo visitare la città, sperimentare diverse attività con le comunità native, tra queste, puoi visitare il mercato dell'artigianato, creare un vaso di terracotta con le tue mani o fare un trekking con i lama ( opzionale, non incluso). Inoltre, è il momento ideale per godersi il pranzo (non incluso).
Intorno alle 16:30, torna a bordo dell'autobus e inizia il nostro ritorno. Dopo un'ora di auto, facciamo la nostra ultima fermata nel villaggio di Santa Rosa de Tastil, dove si trova uno dei più grandi siti archeologici del nostro paese. Si stima che abbia ospitato circa 3.000 persone.
Dopo questa fermata di 20 minuti, inizia la sezione finale del nostro viaggio, arrivando alla città di Salta intorno alle 20:15.

This was a great day out. The coach was comfortable and there were quite a few stops along the way to break up the journey. We were lucky with the weather too.
An excellent tour - meeting point is clearly signposted, and transport is clean and modern. The train/viaduct is stunning and well organized but the journey to San Antonio is every bit it’s equal - the scenery is amazing. Well worth the time and expense.

This experience was a real highlight from our time in North West Argentina. Such a unique way to experience the mountains and get a feel for what traditional life was like there. Whilst also seeing the places where mining is happening and thermal pools are planned. Beautiful surroundings at a lovely pace. Highly recommend. If you come to this area and don’t do it, you’ve missed out. Note-only pesos are accepted on the train and by the traditional peoples selling their goods.
Very good experience. Just a repair: travelers should be advised to have lunch on the train as the suggested restaurant is very bad and the time for meals is small.
We paid over 700 usd for 3 persons . And when we asked if it was possible to reschedule our tour to another time it was not possible . All in all the cost is way too much compared with the experience.
Fun day. Very well organized. Amazing high altitude experience. Nice air conditioned buses with bathrooms which makes a BIG difference.
The tour is worth it and the photos are stunning. Now you will not hire the "Private Tour: Full Day Train Experience to the Clouds from Salta" for 375€. The train to the Clouds jumps bus-train-bus is exactly the same and costs 161€. Tangol Tours didn't even see them.reci

The tour company was fabulous, but it’s a long day and a long drive and not overly picturesque. Half the seats face at one way on the train and half face the other way. So you could be traveling backwards which makes me nauseous. The seats are pre-assigned at the train station.You’re knee and knee for quite a period of time with the people sitting across from you . It was worse than flying economy. It is nice that they have you change sides of the Planes halfway through the trip. All in all I’m not sure I would recommend this if you have other things you could do instead

BY VIATOR TRIPADVISOR WE PAY 4 TIMES MORE !!!!!! THAN MOST TOURISTS WHO TOOK THIS EXCURSION THE SAME DAY. We made the excursion with my wife on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, booked through Tripadvisor about a month earlier. We were picked up at the hotel by van and taken to the train terminal 10 blocks away. From there mic and then the train. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT WE TOOK WHEN WE WERE HANDED THE BUS-TRAIN-BUS TICKET THAT SAID $98,600 PER PERSON. When talking to other tourists, they had paid the amount mentioned on the ticket, plus approximately $3,000 taxi, for a similar journey we made by van. In short most paid a total of $101,600, at the official exchange of Argentina are U$S 109, of those present whom we asked, the maximum had paid U$S 150. US VIATOR TRIPADVISOR CHARGED US US$413.82 EACH !!!!!!!! APPROXIMATELY US$300 EXTRA EACH !!!!!!!! THEY BITTERED MY TRIP TO SALTA. I FOUND THE EXCURSION VERY GOOD BUT BEING ON THE TRAIN KNOWING THAT MOST HAD PAID 4 TIMES LESS THAN US, GENERATED A VERY UGLY FEELING. I cannot find the exact site on the Tripadvisor page to make this comment/complaint, I hope you will contact me to give me an explanation/refund, I use Tripadvisor services and this has never happened to me. I HOPE SOMEONE FROM VIATOR TRIPADVISOR WRITES TO US.
