The centerpiece of the tour—seeing “The Last Supper” in person and listening to the guide’s narrative—was great. But great enough to overcome the aggravation of the meet-up? And the considerable expense? I’m doubtful. TripAdvisor and the vendor (apparently “Ways”) gave minimal information about meeting. The apparent “ticket” that was sent and uploaded to my AppleWallet, we learned, isn’t a ticket; it’s a sort of voucher that the guide replaces with an actual ticket. (Lacking any instructions about the meetup, and with the time having arrived, we attempted entrance and were brusquely turned away, with no suggestion of how to find our group. We speak Italian pretty well, so language barrier wasn’t the problem.) A hectic and random search through the many clumps of people waiting in the piazza in front of the church ensued. The venue staff provided little guidance. The search eventually yielded our group & guide. Turns out, we were supposed to be drawn to a bicycle in the piazza with a small sign “Last Supper Tour.” TripAdvisor and Ways were not mentioned, nor the time of the tour. Ummm, there are literally DOZENS of Last Supper tours! No wonder that many on the tour never connected. (The guide seemingly considered this normal, and one thing the TripAdvisor was very very clear about: No Refunds. If you miss your tour, that’s 100% on you.) It’s unclear to me whether any other guides/tour groups do better. The piazza was chaotic, with often-angry people searching. My advice is to expect aggravation, and to be relentless about searching for your group/guide. Ask anyone & everyone.

Seeing the Last Supper gives you chills. It is very difficult to get tickets on your own, so doing a tour like this is the way to go. Our guide provided a 40 min education on the Last Supper which was fantastic. You only get 15 minutes in the room with the Last Supper and they are very strict with this, but there is not alot of people in the room with you and it is a very large space. Highly recommend doing this tour to see the Last Supper.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so happy to hear that seeing the Last Supper was such a memorable experience. Understanding the history, symbolism, and fascinating details before entering the refectory makes those 15 minutes even more meaningful. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you again for another unforgettable experience with us 😊
Do not miss this if you're anywhere near Milan. It's very easy to fit in a day - it's only an hour including the viewing. They let 40 people in to view the stunning fresco for 15 minutes so you have time and space to enjoy and appreciate it, unlike many other popular works at other museums. The 45 minute preamble is incredibly informative touching on Da Vinci's life, personality, the building itself, the way the work was treated over time, when it became so celebrated, and who restored it and how. The speaker was kind and thorough and expert. The viewing alone is worth the expense but going in to see this stunning and important piece with a lecture on the man and the work immediately before was illuminating. It will be an experience I'll never forget.
