A wonderful experience, except for the passenger who got drunk and swore all the way back to Cape Town. I personally feel that there should not be any alcohol served wher children are involved.

A wonderful and enjoyable train experience from start to finish. The train ride itself was fun, relaxed and scenic, making the journey part of the outing rather than just transport to the destination. The stop at Elgin Railway Market added to the experience, with a lively atmosphere, good food options and enough time to explore the stalls and enjoy the setting. Overall, it is a lovely day trip and a great option for anyone looking for something different, relaxed and memorable. Highly recommended for couples, friends and families.

It was such a fun trip! Everything very efficiently run and we got a great pensioner’s rate of R275. Lovely vibe and scenery on the train journey! The Elgin Railway Market was also amazing and the time allowed there was perfect for all the browsing etc. that we needed to do.
