Trekking Salkantay a Machu Picchu 4 giorni

We booked the 4-day Salkantay trek for our family of 4 adults. Before leaving we had a briefing meeting. This lasted 2 hours and the information received was unfortunately very confusing. We discovered that the ride back with the bus that we had booked, would take 7-10 hours (we would have liked knowing that on beforehand) and last-minute changed to a return by train. Once we started the trek, we discovered that SAP is a reseller and the tour itself was with KB Adventures. One of our sleeping bags had a defective zipper (causing 2 excruciating cold nights with no sleep). For the rest, everything was very well organized, the food was good and the guide helpful (except for the afternoon when he was drunk), supportive, and kind. The people in the group were very nice (some with great physical condition, others less prepared) and we all made it till the end. When our Machu Picchu guide didn't show up because of too much partying the night before (New Years eve), the agency made sure someone else picked us up. So overall, a good experience.

I had a great time on this tour. Our guide David made the trip very enjoyable - I would go with him again. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The accommodation was also nice for the price. The food was incredible, ask for the chef Grimaldo! Overall, I would recommend this tour with David!
