Il Monte Brasil è un vulcano spento circondato da 4 km di mura della "Fortaleza de São João Baptista". Un'incredibile vista panoramica della città di Angra do Heroísmo.

La riserva forestale Lagoa das Patas [Duck Lake] si trova all'interno dell'isola di Terceira e prende il nome da un bellissimo lago artificiale, alimentato dall'acqua che sgorga dalla Serra de Santa Bárbara. Il lago è circondato da azalee, ortensie e altri cespugli e alberi.

Questo monumento naturale si estende per circa 14 ettari e corrisponde ad un campo fumarolico. È una manifestazione di vulcanismo secondario con emissione di gas vulcanici a varie temperature, alcune piuttosto elevate (circa 95 °C in superficie e circa 130 °C a mezzo metro di profondità).

A great half day out in the Jeep - lots of photo opportunities - our Guide was very knowledgeable - good stops for refreshments too
Great time exploring the island and learning about all the different areas. The guides Bobby and Catarina were engaging and made the excursion The food at the stops we made was delicious It was a great way to spend the day waiting for our flight from a long layover. Highly recommend this tour
Wow!!! 5 star rating for our private tour of Terceira in the Azores with premiere host Catarina and her father Bob! Amazing day discovering all the best places( local ) and cultural incites the island has to offer. Everything from the history, volcanic formations, beautiful coastlines, bull run and festivals to taking tours of a cheese factory/farm and tasting their delicious cheese and liquor was above and beyond!!! Highly recommend Catarina and Azores Escapes!!! I definitely will be back.
No one was at the meeting point, spent half hour trying to get through to be told the trip was cancelled due to poor weather, even though all the Cunard Jeep Safari Trips went ahead
We had a fantastic day!!! Our guides were amazing! They took us to wonderful places and had great knowledge about everything!!!! I can’t say enough about how wonderful our day was. Highly recommend!
WOW, We arrived on a cruise ship not sure what to expect of this island in the Azores. We had never visited this location and were excited to explore. Our day was spent riding in a older Landrover with two amazing young people. Their knowledge and love of their home made our day. We saw so much, beaches forest, a lava tube,cheese maker and so much more. We enjoyed a great time on an island well worth visiting. I will recommend this tour to anyone heading that way.
Driving with the jeep trough the forest with open canopy is amazing. Also the tour guides were good and I highly recommend this tour.
Well organized Excellent guide Lots of availability so everything runs smoothly. Alternative itinerary, takes us to less touristy but spectacular places.
We had a wonderful tour with Bobby, our tour guide. He took us to some beautiful places on Terceira island along with sharing it’s history. He was an excellent tour guide. We will return to the beautiful island of Terceira.
