Il centro storico di Sintra è un antico villaggio prevalentemente pedonale fondato mille anni fa. I greci chiamavano Sintra “Montagna della Luna” e, ancora oggi, è un vero e proprio villaggio da favola. È patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO dal 1995. Qui avrai del tempo libero per il pranzo (il costo del pranzo non è incluso) e per goderti alcuni famosi travesseiros in un'antica panetteria che esiste dal 1862: si tratta di sfoglie leggere che vengono trasformate , arrotolata e ripiegata sette volte e poi farcita con una deliziosa crema di tuorli e mandorle e leggermente spolverata di zucchero. Puoi anche gustare i Travesseiros de Sintra, il dolce tipico della città di Sintra.
Quando arriveremo a Sintra, visiteremo il Palazzo Pena, una delle sette meraviglie del Portogallo, che si trova in cima alla montagna, permettendoti di godere di una vista mozzafiato sull'Oceano Atlantico, sul Parco Nazionale di Sintra, sul Palazzo Monserrate, Palazzo Seteais, Castello Moresco, Lisbona e Cascais.
Andremo a Quinta da Regaleira, uno dei monumenti più sorprendenti ed enigmatici del paesaggio culturale di Sintra. In questo luogo famoso e mistico troverai giardini esotici, laghi, cascate, grotte, architettura massonica e il pozzo iniziatico.
Sulla strada per il punto più occidentale dell'Europa continentale: Cabo da Roca, un luogo di blu infinito e una vista superba sull'Oceano Atlantico nella sua forma più selvaggia.
Arriveremo alla spiaggia di Guincho, un luogo selvaggio con panorami mozzafiato e ottimo per gli sport acquatici come surf, windsurf e kitesurf.

We had booked a small group tour of Sintra and Pena Palace with Lisbon hotel pickup several weeks ahead and 2 hrs before hand that other tour group cancelled our excursion. We scrambled to find other arrangements and found this tour. Booking it with only an hour until pickup time, we were cautiously optimistic. Pedro immediately reached out and coordinated our private tour. An hour later Gustavo picked us up and gave us the best tour we could have imagined. He was polite, professional, knowledge, and his English was very good. He was eager to give us the experience we had hoped for. We got a trip beyond our expectations as he offered us alternatives of sites to see and catered our day to our energy level and interests, which would not have been the case on that original tour we'd booked with that other tour company. We had an authentic Portuguese lunch we will not soon forget. We take away not only great pictures of the local sites but fond memories or our day in Sintra and Cascais and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and rich history of Sintra and Portugal.
