Itinerario
La Basilica di Nossa Senhora do Rosário iniziò a essere costruita nel 1928. Sorge nel punto in cui i Pastorelli erano soliti suonare, il 13 maggio 1917. L'edificio, che misura 70,5 metri di lunghezza e il campanile è alto 65 m, sormontato da una corona di bronzo di 7000 kg. Il carillon è composto da 62 campane, la più grande pesa 3.000 kg e il batacchio 90Kg. Il 13 maggio 1958 fu inaugurata una grande statua del Cuore Immacolato di Maria, alta 4,73 me pesa 13 tonnellate. Questa immagine, offerta dai cattolici americani, evoca il contenuto del messaggio relativo alla devozione al Cuore Immacolato di Maria. All'interno della Basilica troviamo le tombe di Lúcia e i fratelli Francisco Marto e Jacinta Marto
Il luogo più sacro del Santuario, dove la Madonna di Fatima è apparsa per la prima volta ai 3 Pastorelli, ed è qui che si trova l'immagine della Madonna. Qui possiamo assistere alla messa ed è vicino a questa cappella che possiamo lasciare le candele accese per ringraziare.
La Basilica ha iniziato a essere costruita nel 2004 perché è stato verificato che la Basilica di Nossa Senhora do Rosário de Fátima non era più abbastanza grande per ospitare tutti i pellegrini, in particolare la domenica e altri giorni di frequenza media, ed è stata inaugurata nel 2007. Una basilica di architettura moderna con 8 633 posti a sedere. Nel 2012, questo tempio dedicato alla Santissima Trinità, ha ricevuto il titolo di Basilica.
Abbiamo visitato la casa in cui Lúcia e la sua famiglia vivevano, puoi vedere la stanza, così come tutti i mobili di quel tempo. Accanto alla casa abbiamo anche visitato il luogo in cui venivano tenuti gli animali
Abbiamo visitato la casa in cui vivevano Francisco e Jacinta Marto e la loro famiglia, puoi vedere le camere, la cucina, la dispensa e tutti i mobili di quel tempo. Inoltre possiamo vedere il posto segreto, dove Francisco si è nascosto alla stampa dopo le apparizioni. Accanto alla casa abbiamo anche visitato il giardino dove hanno suonato.
Fu a Poço dos Arneiros alla fine del cortile della casa di Lúcia, luogo emblematico delle apparizioni di Fatima che la seconda apparizione dell'Angelo.

We did a full day tour around Lisbon, Sintra, etc. Our guide George was fantastic. He knew the history of the area to an amazing extent and was a wealth of information. He seemed like part of our family by the end of the day!

Our tour guide Aurelio was absolutely amazing! He was funny and great to be with. This was our first time going to Portugal and he provided us the best first experience of Fatima. Through out the whole drive he continuously provided us with Portugal’s history and recommended other sites to see, which we did and are so grateful! I highly recommend asking for him as your tour guide!

Tour guide knowledgeable of Lisbon and its history. Loved trip to see st lucia’s house and the cementery. Fatima’s chapel and basilica was not the experience we had expected
We took this private tour on Sunday, September 11th, 2022. In total, we were three adults including my 84 years old mother who is recovering from a hip surgery. Our tour guide, Jorge, picked us up at our Lisbon hotel right on time at 9:00 am. From that moment onwards, Jorge was absolutly fantastic in every single way. He was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly but above all, he was very considerated and caring toward my elderly mother. At all times, he was looking after her in order to make sure that she fully enjoyed her time in Fatima. The tour experience was awsome! We were able to visit the Fatima Santuary, attend the 11:00 am mass, visit the churches and the tombs of Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia, etc. Jorge shared with us some very useful "inside tips" in order to make our experience even more memorable. After visiting the sanctuary, Jorge took us to have lunch and after that we went to visit the houses were Lucia, Jacinta y Francisco lived. Besides that, as a bonus track, he took us to other two places that were not included in the tour description: the church were Jacinta and Francisco were baptized and the first cementery were both of them were buried before being placed in the sanctuary. The whole experience was FANTASTIC and we do not have enough words to thank Jorge for his great job and empathy!
