Godetevi l'intimità di soli familiari e amici - fino a 4 - in un giro in bicicletta a poche miglia dal ghiacciaio Mendenhall. Quindi continua a esplorare altri punti panoramici in un SUV ibrido di lusso. Viaggia brevemente in bicicletta attraverso un tranquillo quartiere residenziale fino al primo belvedere del ghiacciaio, prima di pedalare lungo un sentiero naturale pianeggiante con più splendide viste sul ghiacciaio. Il giro in bicicletta dura circa 1 - 1,5 ore (3 - 4 miglia totali), con incredibili opportunità fotografiche. Dopo il giro piacevole, al vostro passo, facciamo un po 'di visite turistiche, tra cui una visita facoltativa all'incubatoio di salmoni DIPAC, in un SUV. Se non volete vedere l'incubatoio, visitiamo invece un altro punto panoramico o due. Itinerario
Inizialmente, guidiamo a Mendenhall Valley per essere abbinati alle nostre bici e caschi. Ci spostiamo poi in bici verso due punti a poche miglia dal ghiacciaio Mendenhall. Per prima cosa, andiamo in bici verso un belvedere sul ghiacciaio. In secondo luogo, pedaliamo lungo un sentiero naturale pianeggiante con una vista più sorprendente sul ghiacciaio. Successivamente, restituiamo le nostre bici e proseguiamo la nostra avventura turistica in un SUV di lusso.
Guidiamo fino a questo parco per vedere "Tahku", la statua della balena sul Canale Gastineau, che commemora i cinquant'anni di stato dell'Alaska.
Ci fermiamo brevemente in questo splendido lago, con la catena montuosa delle Mendenhall Towers come sfondo.
Passiamo davanti al Capitol Building e al Governor's Mansion, accanto a diversi altri edifici storici di Franklin Street.

Wow! What a wonderful morning exploring the area with Allan. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about Juneau, its rich history, and its incredible natural beauty. We asked to spend more time outdoors and visit other points of interest, and Allan was happy to accommodate, taking us to several scenic locations, including the bird preserve. A highlight of the tour was visiting the salmon hatchery. It was fascinating to learn about marine life, the salmon life cycle, and the important role the hatchery plays in protecting and sustaining salmon populations. Allan’s knowledge, flexibility, and enthusiasm made for an unforgettable experience.

Wow...what a great experience. We booked the morning of our bike tour and were treated to an awesome experience with personal attention from Allan, the host-tour guide. He picked us up from our desired location and took us to pick up our bikes, pointing out interesting things along the way. The bikes were practically new Trek bikes and despite very rainy weather (to be expected in Juneau), we had a good time following Allan through a variety of neighborhoods and around the airport near several glacier viewing vantage points. You won't be close too the the glacier but you will get a distant view as you are still in the city. We loved the bike ride and Allan's friendliness and stories and tales made it all the more interesting, especially on the SUV Viewing tour after the bike ride which was equally fun and interesting. We stopped at some Totems and got several good views of the surrounding lakes/islands. It was certainly nice to get a heated limousine like experience after our wet bike ride. Note we were day long cruise passengers and we scheduled a late afternoon booking after a several hour hike on the Perseverance Trail. Can't speak to the hatchery as it closed prior to our late afternoon tour. Would definitely have no reservations about recommending this private tour vs. doing the larger group tours sponsored by the Cruise lines/Viator/TripAdvisor.
