Nel 1500, i cavalieri di San Giovanni utilizzarono Blue Lagoon come isola ricreativa. All'epoca sull'isola vivevano soprattutto per svago e per la caccia alle lepri e ai cinghiali. Mentre fai un tuffo in questo luogo incantevole, considera e medita su quanto questa regione fosse sconosciuta solo pochi secoli fa da pochi cavalieri! Fare il bagno nella Laguna Blu è come trovarsi in una grande piscina naturale con il valore aggiunto dato dal fondale sabbioso e dalle scogliere circostanti in parte rocciose. Con le acque blu più pure che chiunque abbia mai visto, è stato soprannominato un vero e proprio paradiso terrestre, rendendolo uno dei più grandi gioielli di Malta.
Simile alla Laguna Blu, è una splendida laguna riparata accessibile solo in barca. Qui il mare è adornato da diverse tonalità di blu. È il luogo perfetto per il salto dalla scogliera.
La struttura rocciosa, che si trova proprio di fronte alla Laguna Blu, presenta una piccola area sabbiosa. È dotato di una grotta speciale attraverso la quale puoi nuotare per raggiungere il mare aperto e collega la spiaggia dell'isola al mare esterno.
A volte viene chiamata Torre di Comino e fu costruita nel 1618 dal Gran Maestro de Wignacourt. La torre fungeva da collegamento di difesa e comunicazione tra Mdina e Ċittadella a Gozo. L'obiettivo principale era quello di spaventare pirati e corsari fungendo da torre di avvistamento. Anche se esplorare l'interno della torre è gratuito, le donazioni sono accettate con gratitudine.

We had a very great time at this tour. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the water was very refreshing. Its definitely a one in a lifetime experience. I highly recommend this for any small groups that prefer private tours. The driver we had was also very friendly.
From our cruise to Malta, we booked this experience and did not regret it. Our tour guide (Mario) was great. He asked us specifically what we wanted to do, and then allowed us to do it all. Whether it was navigating through caves for pictures, or to a spot where we can dip into the water, he did it all. He fulfilled all of our requests, and got some great pictures. The only tricky part is that if you on a cruise, you have to navigate to the pick up point. We did this by ordering an uber and it took us to the pick up spot. Overall, we had a good time and would do this again.
It is a scam. They didn’t want to accept our international sea license due to insurance which says boats with 200hp engine must drive Maltese sea license but they took us with a 150hp engine. The skipper didn’t want to go more than 15-20km/h because his boss said not to, although we paid 84 euros for the fuel which is about 60l gas, and we only used about 20l, but never received money back. In the pictures you can only see the bow of the ship, it becomes clear the reason behind this is this boat was old, dirty, injured, dangerous and ruined. I don’t know how they allow this on a 3 hour trip in the sea. We also had to pay extra fees for the skipper (and also as I earlier mentioned the fuel) which they mentioned the night before and when we wanted to cancel it they said we don’t have any choice, either we loose our money or we pay extra 168 euros.

We bought the experience on get a guide and didn’t realise you had to pay for the skipper and fuel aswell bringing it to 68 euro. But we decided to go ahead with the experience and it was well worth it. Perfect for a couple like us as you get to experience the blue lagoon privately and we got to connect our phone to the Bluetooth of the boat. The captain was lovely and it felt like a first class experience and we’re glad we didn’t cancel it after realising we had to pay slightly more than expected.
