Scopri il processo di produzione dell'ananas di São Miguel, coltivato in serre utilizzando tecniche locali perfezionate nel tempo ormai da decenni.
Risalendo il cratere della costa occidentale, da questo punto panoramico è possibile vedere entrambe le sponde dell'isola, compresi 42 piccoli crateri vulcanici responsabili della creazione della parte dell'isola in cui si trovano.
Date un'occhiata al lago Canário, in un'area paesaggistica protetta in cui si trovano molti sentieri escursionistici dell'isola.
Da questo punto panoramico puoi vedere i famosi laghi gemelli all'interno di questo enorme cratere sulla costa occidentale dell'isola, così come il piccolo villaggio di Sete Cidades. Semplicemente mozzafiato.
Da questo punto panoramico, mentre iniziamo a guidare all'interno del cratere vero e proprio, si vedono gli stessi laghi e lo stesso villaggio, ma da una prospettiva completamente diversa.
Esplorate il piccolo centro del villaggio e l'unica chiesa con una torre al centro dell'isola, la chiesa di São Nicolau.
In questo punto panoramico siamo il più occidentale possibile sull'isola. Inizialmente utilizzato come punto di avvistamento delle balene, si affaccia sull'oceano e, da qui, si può anche vedere il villaggio di Mosteiros, dove la gente va a vedere il tramonto.
Scoprite il processo di produzione della nostra ceramica tradizionale, in una fabbrica gestita dalla stessa famiglia da ormai cinque generazioni (chiusa nei fine settimana e nei giorni festivi).
In questa zona puoi vedere uno dei vulcani attivi dell'isola. Questo lago si trova molto vicino alla cima del secondo punto più alto dell'isola ed è... Squisito.
Se decidete di farlo, potete visitare questo Parco Naturale, dove le persone possono esplorare la zona e assistere all'attività vulcanica secondaria.
Visita il centro dell'unica città sulla costa settentrionale di São Miguel ed esplorala un po'. Puoi anche visitare un piccolo negozio dove puoi avere campioni dei nostri liquori locali (chiuso nei fine settimana e nei giorni festivi).
Visitate la spiaggia che è il centro del surf dell'isola, con la sua sabbia scura e scuole di surf per bambini, oltre a un bar e bagni.

Had a wonderful time exploring the island with Flávio! He was an amazing guide who shared his love for his home with us and taught us so much about its history, industry and sights. Flavio was outstanding! He is very professional, knowledgeable, smart, and fun to be with! we loved our two days with him… He customized everything for us according to our interests and the weather… He even took us in the evening to see the sunset on the west coast, and them to Ferreira to swim in the tidal pool during low tide at 10PM! was truly a special experience.
