Parti da Atene con un'auto executive privata o un mini van e guida attraverso la fertile pianura della Boeozia, attraversando la città di Tebe, famosa in tutto il mondo per la sua tragica storia di re Edipo. Raggiungi le Termopili e ammira il paesaggio e il monumento di re Leonida. Si prosegue attraverso le pittoresche città di Livadeia e Arachova alle pendici del Monte Parnaso. All'arrivo a Delfi, esplora l'"Omphalos" ("Ombelico della Terra") e ammira le rovine di un antico santuario che si arricchì come sede dell'oracolo. Prendetevi il vostro tempo e ammirate i panorami di un paesaggio di ineguagliabile bellezza. Ammira i resti del Santuario di Apollo Pizio e visita il Tesoro degli Ateniesi. Più tardi il tuo autista privato ti consiglierà un bel posto dove mangiare un ottimo pasto, con vista sul mare e sulla ricca valle degli ulivi. Fermati sul campo di battaglia delle Termopili, dove fu combattuta la battaglia delle Termopili tra un'alleanza di antiche città-stato greche, guidate dal re Leonida I di Sparta, e l'impero achemenide di Serse I. Fu combattuta nel 480 a.C. tre giorni, durante la seconda invasione persiana della Grecia. Lasciati stupire dal monumento di Leonida, eretto nel 1955 e creato dallo scultore Vasos Falireas. La scultura in ottone del re spartano con la lancia e lo scudo è davvero sorprendente. Accanto al monumento di Leonida, si trova il centro informazioni della battaglia delle Termopili in cui è possibile guardare un video molto informativo di circa 10 minuti.
Una volta a Delfi, dirigiti verso il sito archeologico di montagna, dichiarato Patrimonio dell'Umanità dall'UNESCO, uno dei più significativi della Grecia. Successivamente, visita le rovine e fai luce sull'oracolo del sito, un'antica sacerdotessa che trasmetteva messaggi dal dio Apollo. Ammira il Tempio di Apollo e altri monumenti, quindi visita il Museo Archeologico per vedere i suoi manufatti, tra cui l'Auriga di Delfi e la Sfinge di Naxos.
Fermati in questo splendido piccolo villaggio e fai un ottimo pasto. Abbinalo al vino locale e alla splendida vista sul mare e sugli uliveti della valle.

George, our driver and fount of knowledge for all things Greek, was quite the character. He made our trip to Delphi and Thermopylae a very memorable experience. Everything ran like clockwork and we got time to see everything we wanted to see at both sites. Our guide at Delphi was exceptional. The lunch venue provided some good tasty food in a nice environment. Overall, just a great day out travelling with a new friend. Thanks George.

We had an amazing trip to Delphi and Thermopylae. Our driver George was fantastic. Extremely well read, articulate and amusing. My 14 year old was captivated by his stories. Delphi is gorgeous. So much history. Also Thermopylae, while not as visited as Delphi was very interesting. The sulphuric hot springs are a great spot. The trip was easygoing and George was very thoughtful keeping our needs in mind. We’re huge animal lovers and loved that George brought bread with him to feed one of his stray dog friends at Thermopylae. Highly recommend Crispy Local and George. You will not be disappointed.

My guide for the tour was Mr Yannis. The drive was smooth. Loved the countryside and the views. On the route I was told the story about the Oracle on Delphi and many other historical as well as Greek mythological facts. Even though the tour was booked on a very short notice, everything was arranged perfectly. The pickup was right on time as per the plan. I was left for exploring the archaeological site as per my convenience. There was no time limit for spending time at the sites/museums. The trip ends with lunch at a restaurant curated by the team. Crispylocal is truly recommended for those who love to spend their time at sites as per their own convenience since all the tours are 100% customisable and private.
