Delphi: first stop of the day; about 2 hours total spent at the site; very cool and beautiful views Thermopylae: because the ocean has receded so much, it was lackluster. Meteora: 100/100. should be a wonder of the world! We were able to go into one of the monasteries which was breathtaking, but only able to see outside of the others. Even driving by the buildings without going in, you were still able enjoy the experience. many people say it's not worth it to do in a day trip but I disagree. getting started (picked up from our hotel) at 6 am meant we were back to our hotel by about 7pm. We were able to sleep in the car on the drive there, and back and it actually provided some peaceful time and a nice break from a jam-packed trip. I worried about getting car sick but had no issues. Guide- Kostis: very professional, great driver (took extra care to avoid car sickness), allowed us to make stops (e.g., coffee, pharmacy), knowledgable. Meal (included dinner at the end): honestly, not necessary. just okay. our only complaint was the car size - it would have been more relaxing and enjoyable it was a midsize suv or in general just a larger car.

Wonderful time! Nicos was a gentleman, explaining the history, keeping us hydrated, and taking some photos of us along the scenic drive to Meteora and Delphi. Thanks for a great experience.

This trip is a long day but a must do day trip if you have a few days in Athens !

Our Delphi and Meteora Private Day Trip from Athens including Dinner was absolutely outstanding, and a huge part of that was our guide, Mano. From the ancient ruins of Delphi to the breathtaking monasteries of Meteora, Mano’s passion and expertise made every stop meaningful and engaging. He was professional, friendly, and always happy to answer questions, making the journey both educational and enjoyable. The entire trip was well organized, comfortable, and unforgettable, but Mano’s historical knowledge elevated it from a great tour to an extraordinary one. Such a memorable tour! In one hand, Delphi, the best preserved archaelogical site in the whole country and in the other hand, Meteora, such a unique place with the monasteries on top of these rocks! Marselo handled everything with great calmness even though he did a lot of driving today.

As retirees, we do not typically rise to the starter's blast of an alarm. And yet we accepted the lure of visiting Meteora and Delphi in a day. We were off at 6 am when Sebastian invited us to take a seat for adventure. It is quite the bite to race from Athens to Vralaam monastery but Sebastian was up for the task. He was capable enough to point out the changes in scenery, the current crops, the difference in topography, and fill us in on the religious history that lead to this region's attraction for the monks. After a leisurely visit thru the incredibly beautiful grounds, precious art, informative museum, and functional areas of monastic life we cruised the scenic outlooks to see the other monasteries that look down from the cliffs. The whole area is geologically fascinating and the mind boggling structures are crafted onto the cliff edges as if nature anticipated their construction. The obligatory pit stop for a gyro, and fries got us back on course and headed toward Thermopylae. This pass around the backside brought perspective to the Greco-Persian wars. The monuments recalled Thespis, the fall of Leonidas, the third and final stage of the battle here where the Persian archers rained arrows down on the remaining warriors. Sebastian's narration kept pace with our journey and was about to reach it's final lap as Delphi came into view. An excellent example for the preservation of antiquities. The museum gave us a solid background for our walk thru the archeological site. This walk through historic treasure gives scale to the history and civic accomplishments of the time. We hit the finish line with dinner of greek salad, dolmes, tzaziki with bread, pastitsio, gemista, and red wine. After a 13 1/2 hour trip Sebastian returned us in a more educated and happily entertained condition. We had a blast!

Marcelo was a great driver and tour guide. He was very accommodating with how we wanted to change the itinerary. The day was tiring but we’d recommend this tour!

From the moment our trip started, Nikos was an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable and gave us tricks and tips to make the most of our day! First suggestion was to make it earlier in the day and so glad we changed it, it was very hot later on! He was an expert driver and navigated the city well! He also knew a LOT of history that was very interesting. He let us adjust parts of the tour we were interested in. The lunch place was delicious. Tzatziki sauce was amazing! We saw so much of Athens that we never would have been able to see without him! Highly, highly recommend it!

This was a great way to see some of Northern Greece! Our driver, Christos, picked my wife and I up directly at six in a Mercedes for a private tour. We were able to stop for coffee and snacks on our way to see the monasteries. We stopped at many different points for pictures and arrived at the monasteries before large crowds came in on the bus tours. I really enjoyed seeing the battle site between the Spartans and the Persians. Delphi was also beautiful. It had a museum and an archaeological site and was not overrun with tourists. It made exploring the archaeological site more enjoyable. Our driver was there to wait on us the whole time. He was very knowledgeable and gave us history of all the areas we visited. Afterwards, Christos brought us to have dinner and drinks before being returned to our front door. if you take this tour you will be entertained the entire time. I highly recommend Christos as a tour guide.
