Thorstein (Thor) was such a great tour guide. He told us stories about his personal experience at Oxford, the Oxford University school life, Oxford university history. He made the entire 3 hours enjoyable and fun and even let us stop for drinks and rest. He was so detailed in everything he said and made sure the stories were funny and hit just right.
Ross was awesome and tour was great
By far and away the best guided I’ve ever been apart of. I wanna give a huge shout out to my guide Isabella! She is very friendly, informative, funny, and most importantly passionate. Honestly really inspirational to see someone who cares so much about what they are telling you about. We need more young people like her! Hope she goes far in her studies! Thank you for showing me your beautiful city!
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, with the very excellent, knowledgeable and fun guide Sam Day. Ask for him - he is the best!

We appreciate your 5 star review of our 3-Hour Private Tour of Oxford With University Alumni Guide. All our guides take the utmost care of our visitors and share all their deep knowledge of this historic city. We hope to welcome you back to Oxford soon!
It was nothing short of a privilege to spend three hours poring over the intricacies of Oxford’s history with Sam Day’s exceptional guidance. Although we experienced the tour on a day soaked by pelting rain, Sam maintained the highest standard of composure and professionalism. His comprehensive elaboration on every aspect of Oxford’s legacy was as accurate as it was detailed. The ability to hold our entire family’s complete attention over the span of 3 hours is no easy feat, yet he did so with ease and compassion. The age disparity of my family made no difference to the amount of information Sam helped us to absorb through his clear and chronologically precise explanations. The extent of his knowledge on British history is impressively large. That was apparent through not only his factual spiel, but also his ability to promptly answer any question we threw at him. His active engagement, humour and kindness trickled through the tour, making every second of it memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with this tour, and have left with a wide range of knowledge on every significant college in Oxford, and every piece of history that led to its becoming.
