Ciao, sono Jakub (James, יעקב, Jacob, Giacomo...), puoi chiamarmi Jimi. Sono una delle poche persone che possono definirsi "starý Prešporák" (vecchio colono di Bratislava). Fin da giovane i miei hobby sono stati storia, psicologia, filosofia ed esaminare la percezione della società e il suo sviluppo. Ecco perché ho iniziato a fare tour quasi 10 anni fa, quando ero ancora al liceo. Se vuoi imparare qualcosa sull ́antichità, il Medioevo e la storia moderna di Bratislava / Slovacchia sono qui per te.

Come abitante del posto con una vasta conoscenza di Bratislava e della storia e cultura slovacca, vi mostrerò importanti punti di riferimento, riassumerò la vasta storia della Slovacchia e di Bratislava e dipingerò un quadro della società slovacca. Durante il tour possiamo vedere la Città Vecchia, il Teatro Nazionale Slovacco, la Filarmonica, il Museo Nazionale Slovacco, il Ponte Vecchio, il Ponte della Rivolta Nazionale Slovacca (UFO), il parco più antico dell'Europa Centrale, la Cattedrale di San Martino, le mura della città, il Castello di Bratislava e molto altro ancora.

We went on a free walking tour with Jakub around Bratislava at 15.00 which lasted just over 2 hours. Jakub took us through a lot of the history of the city ending at the castle. We also visited key spots in the city such as the man at work, Napoleon cannonballs, UFO and had key recommendations provided at the end. It was well paced, had comfort break halfway through and Jakub was a brilliant, knowledgeable and experienced guide who showed a genuine passion for the city.

This is not an ordinary walking tour that you get in other European cities. (Did few before) A tour with Jakub is like a tour with an old friend you haven't seen in years. I was worried that two hours would drag on and an hour would have been more than enough, but in the end, the almost two and a half hours went by incredibly quickly (thanks for the extra time). I learned a cross-section of city's history, art, culture, and the current state as well. At the very end of my tour we also tasted a fantastic homemade beer in a traditional Slovak pub. I took away many great memories from my three days in Bratislava, but the part with Jakub was definitely the best. Your tour is an absolute ace. Thanks mate! 🙏🏼

Private walking tour with Jakub was an absolute highlight of my time in Bratislava. This tour with Jakub was great fun. He has deep knowledge of the city’s history as well as that of Slovakia. He was patient, attentive, and even took some great photos for me. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the main highlights of the city in just two hours. Jakub truly knows the best spots.

Jacob is a lovely chap. He was clearly looking forward to giving us a tour and kindly offered to reschedule when I called to say my husband was travel sick and we had to cancel. Unfortunately we only had very limited time in Bratislava but if we get the chance to return Jakob is no 1 choice.
