Questo emozionante viaggio combina l'escursionismo attraverso la fitta giungla, l'esplorazione del fiume e l'opportunità di nuotare in una cascata nascosta e maestosa. La Leona è una cascata blu intenso unica nel suo genere, radicata tra due canyon. È uno dei pochi, se non l’unico, in Costa Rica con questa caratteristica. La sua acqua proviene dal “fiume bianco” o “Rio Blanco” che trova la sua sorgente alle falde del vulcano Rincon de la Vieja. Il colore dell'acqua è semplicemente stupendo, tra l'azzurro e il turchese, il che si spiega con la presenza di zolfo. È sicuramente un must in questa zona!

Easy hike in the jungle. You will get wet on the hike with all the river crossings and such. Waterfall is amazin
While the waterfalls are absolutely stunning, I want to share a heads-up for anyone with mobility concerns. I recently had knee surgery (10 weeks ago) so we called ahead to ask about the terrain. We were told it would be quite easy, but just 20 steps into the downhill trek, I realized it was much more challenging than described. While the guides are encouraging, I felt there was a bit of a disconnect between their "keep going" attitude and the actual physical difficulty of the trail. I decided to stop at the first beautiful swimming hole, which was the right call for me—the rest of my group mentioned the next 150-200 yards were quite rugged and challenging. It’s a gorgeous spot, but please trust your instincts regarding your physical limits!

Ever is the best! He did exactly what we asked, and took us on a three day adventure through the forest, to waterfalls, jet, skis, and rafting! He really made our trip special and we can’t wait to go back! Costa Rica is very beautiful and the people are all happy and nice. It’s one of our favorite countries to visit.
