La serie HBO Chernobyl è stata girata in uno dei quartieri di Vilnius - Fabijoniškės. Durante il tour visiterai Fabijoniskes e altri siti di riprese per conoscere la vita sovietica e la catastrofe di Chernobyl. La città di Pripyat ("atomo pacifico"), creata alla fine degli anni sessanta per servire la pianta, fu costruita in pochi decenni come simbolo di un'amicizia tra le nazioni sovietiche. La maggior parte delle repubbliche sovietiche avevano già costruito i loro quartieri. Questo è il motivo per cui la serie è stata girata nel quartiere Fabijoniskes di Vilnius, che è stato un esempio di Pripyat. Uno dei musei più visitati in Lituania è una vera prigione del KGB e ha ancora le sue celle del KGB e le camere di tortura intatte. Domas our guide was great, picked us up on time, nice vehicle and safe driver. He is very knowledgeable about the filming of the Chernobyl tv show, but also Lithuanian history. We learned so much. He also accompanied us for part of or visit to the Museum of Occupation and Freedom, this was such a bonus as it put many of the exhibits into perspective. A great tour and worth every penny

WOW! What an experience! My wife and I booked two private tours which included a tour to Trakai Castle and separate and apart, transportation from Vilnius, Lithuania to Riga, Latvia with stops at Hill of the Crosses and Rundale Palace. For those of you who plant to travel to the Baltics, I strongly recommend including these two UNESCO World Heritage sites. Additionally, I would strongly recommend going with Avitalis who operates FeelZCity Tours out of Vilnius. Avitalis coordinated a FLAWLESS tour which also included a private guide who walked us through Rundale Palace and shared the amazing history of this gem of a site.
