Had a fantastic trip to Trakai with Jim. He’s a great guide — charming, laid-back, knowledgeable, and clearly someone who genuinely loves what he does and loves sharing Lithuania with visitors. The whole day felt relaxed and fun, and everyone in our group seemed to have a great time. Highly recommend Jim if you’re visiting Vilnius and want to experience a bit more of Lithuania!
Great small group trip and highly recommend it! Jim was a great guide - giving us a lot of information about about Lithuanian culture, history, as well as a fun playlist in the van! Was very relaxing tour and had plenty of time to explore at each of the stops. You had an option of staying with the group or venturing out on your own! Great option for solo travelers. Ačiū Jim!!!!
Fun and informative tour to Trakai with a stop at the Hill of Angels. Plenty of free time to enjoy these lovely areas. Great tour guide who provides the right amount of info with humor and fun facts. Highly recommend!
Great for learning about Lithuanian history. Enjoyed Trakai and lunch with the guide and fellow travelers. The visit to Trakai was unstructured.
Castle visit and hill of angels Jim’s tour was the best. Highly recommend He was very informative and a lot of fun.
Fantastic tour. Jim was a very engaging and informative host, who created a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Trakai is gorgeous and we had a generous amount of time to spend there. We enjoyed joining other tour members for lunch but there was no pressure or expectation to do so for those that preferred to do their own thing. I’m also so pleased that we stopped off at the Hill of Angels on our way back. All in all a great experience. Can’t recommend it highly enough!
Jim was incredibly knowledgeable and such a funny guy. Best tour operator in Lithuania highly recommend.
The castle itself was not a big deal. Long line to get in and it’s really a recent reconstruction with a few art displays inside. The town was nice. Jim was a very good guide. He gave a lot of interesting info on Lithuania and was pleasant. The bus was also good.
I really enjoyed this trip. The area is beautiful and peaceful and offers walks and vistas that will satisfy any casual photographer, hiker, or nature lover. There are also a variety of water sports available, including sailing, pedal boating, kayaking, and paddle boarding. There are of course a few touristy bits, but you can easily avoid these. Our very capable guide Jim, who hails from bonny Scotland, is very affable and genuine and is a real pleasure to chat with. The trip is very good value for money, so I would definitely encourage anyone to make it a part of their itinerary.
Overall great experience. Jim was very knowledgeable and kind throughout the tour. She would definitely recommend!
